Formed by chance in 2022 in Chicago, @latter.band is the noise rock project of Philadelphia-born sound artist Meredith Haines and drummer Jonathan Alvarado (@beachbunnymusic). Fusing noise, post-hardcore, screamo, and indie pop into a form that resists containment, Latter’s Audiotree Live performance pulls no punches.

Latter’s most recent release, ‘What Lives Inside of Me,’ expands on the ferocity of their debut ‘My Body Is My Sickness’, expanding on the ferocity of their debut, exploring more the more nuanced, complex emotions that come from picking up the pieces of one’s life after a trauma, as well as navigating womanhood in the entertainment industry. Playing tracks from across their discography, including their viral single “I Don’t Owe You”, Latter’s Audiotree Live performance cuts deep with Haines’ relentless, blistering voice leading the charge.

Catch them on tour supporting @faetooth across the US this April and May ahead of their European debut at @leftofthedialrotterdam this fall! by @latter.band

On November 2nd, we’re excited to take over @unter.deck for the first time hosting Latter and Babe Haven with Special Local Guest Palanca⛓️‍💥

Latter is a Chicago-based noise rock project formed by chance in 2022 by Philadelphia-born sound artist Meredith Haines and drummer Jonathan Alvarado (Beach Bunny). Drawing from Haines’ background in both sound art and modern dance, the band’s performances blur the lines between noise rock, performance art, and sound art, pushing beyond genre through a volatile mix of tension and vulnerability.

Babe Haven is a queer punk band known for their riot grrrl attitude and nu-metal edge. Formed in Boone, NC by Lillie Della Penna and Naomi Poesel, the band creates anthems of empowerment and resistance brimming with raw aggression. With a mission to uplift femme, queer, and BIPOC voices, Babe Haven turns every show into a space of radical inclusion and catharsis.

Munich based Palanca will open the night. Since 2024, Constanza Meléndez and Daniel Door have been performing experimental noise pop together. Using distorted taishokoto, bass synths, acoustic drums, and sample-based beats, they explore themes of broken apartments, spambot incantations, and critical infrastructure.

Finally recovered enough to say our first (nearly) full US tour is in the books. THANK YOU so much to everyone who came out to these shows, discovered us, sang along, danced, bought merch, or just supported us in any way. It was so amazing to play shows so far away from home and still see people singing along with me. This was the best month of my life so far and I will never forget this time.

Thank you so much to @faetooth for giving us the opportunity to perform in front of their fans every night. An amazing group of people and musicians. Thank you to @helloarjana for holding everything down and being the best and to @bossesband who are amazing. Thank you to @squalid_queen and @ruby.lucinda for filling in while Jon and Nic were off being rockers. Thank you @walrusmode one of my closest friends of 19 years for playing sax on this tour - we had no idea how it was going to go but it went better than I could have ever imagined.

When we started this band I was 33 had already given up on the idea of pursuing a music career- a very painful decision I made in my late 20s when I finally decided to call it quits after years of grinding. This band was never meant to be more than a fun side project to relieve some stress. I had no idea what was in store for me and that I would get a second chance at the thing I genuinely believe I was born to do. The 15 years of failure were all worth it and this band has made me believe that everything happens for a reason.

Thank you all for being here. Next up is Europe, and then new music out next year.

Xoxo
