Just my thoughts..

Rediscovering life in Christ. Breaking old habits. Making room for the new. Positioning myself to become the woman God created me to be. Trying to enjoy the journey, instead of chasing the blessing and rejoicing what’s in front of me. There’s still more to come. Just trying to live holy and faithful. Knowing that nothing really belongs to me, it all belongs to Jesus. by @latyshasimpson

TESTIMONY TIME! (THE GOODNESS OF GOD)

Yesterday, my sister and I went to Amsterdam to celebrate her birthday. We wanted to eat and do some shopping. But every morning I ask God to use me for His glory. We decided to take the train to Amsterdam instead of the car, but we faced delays the entire journey! We didn’t knew why, yet we remained thankful, knowing that everything happens according to God’s timing.

When we arrived at our destination (the Albert Cuyp Market), my sister wanted to have a caricature drawing of us. I wasn’t as excited about it as she, because; I was looking for *stroopwafels* (syrup waffles), as the market was already closing due to our train delay — Still, I decided to go along with it for her sake.

That’s when we ended up in a conversation with the artist about Jesus. He told us, although he believed in God, he didn’t believed in the Bible or the significance of the cross. He believed, that God is within himself. At that moment, I prayed in my head, asking the Holy Spirit to take over and soften his heart so we could share the Gospel with him. I sensed a deep brokenness in him; I mentioned this, and he confirmed it.

Before I left my house that morning, I had read Isaiah 61, and those specific words came to mind to share with this man. Afterward, I asked if I could pray for him. There we stood—the three of us, hand in hand—praying right there at the Albert Cuyp Market. We prayed for this beautiful, precious soul, asking God to complete His work in him and strengthen his faith.

And the most beautiful part of the story is this: I had been looking for *stroopwafels* but encountered a soul in need of prayer instead. By the ending of this meeting, the market closed—but guess what? Suddenly out of the blue, an owner of a *stroopwafel* store walked up to us and gave us his last two waffles for FREE. A LIL TREAT FROM GOD ALMIGHTY.

The faithfulness of God. Just make sure you don’t miss the “if”.

Dedicating my life to Christ is the most important decision I’ve ever made. I see His hand on me in everything I do. Even in the midst of trials, doubt or sorrow Jesus still comes through. That’s because I share every thought with Him. He is my wisdom and counsel. I include Him in everything — that’s why I feel and see His presence continuously.

The peace and endless love He gives is unmatched. Words fall short to explain how good God is. While I do my absolute best to stay aligned in His will, He works with me and gives me favor.

What a privilege it is to collab with the creator of the universe. That’s also possible for YOU.

The only thing you have to do is invite Jesus into your life and ask who He is. And then get to know Him. Repent and believe the Gospel, but be real with Him and invite Him in every part of your life, even if you’re still stuck in sin. He will wash it away. Just focus on Him.

But if you already accepted Jesus and want to experience Him on a deeper level.. Make sure you apply His teachings to your life. Be quick to obey and be sincere with Him. He doesn’t seek perfection but realness. Righteousness and Holiness. 🤍 by @latyshasimpson

We’ve been praying for this. Started as individuals, prayed for sisterhood.. Now building a godly community for women in Christ.
