10 years ago, I turned my idea of highlighting Fort Lauderdale, its people, and places into real life. Lauderbabe was born out of a deep desire to connect culture, community, and life in the tropics.

Sharing your “art” is a uniquely vulnerable experience, but stepping into that unknown changed my life. To anyone hesitating to share their own magic with the world, take the leap.

Seeing this vision recognized by all of you today means the absolute world to me. A massive congratulations to all the other incredible winners this year — I am in such great company. SECRET’S OUT 🤫🍷 If you’ve ever made the trek down to Little River or Coconut Grove just to vibe at @magiewinebar, you can officially stop checking the Brightline schedule.

Opening mid-October, Magie Wine Bar is making its highly anticipated Broward debut and making a home right here in Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village!

“Every new city we open in, we ask the same question: how do we make this place feel like ours from day one?” says @caroline_strauss. “That’s what hospitality means to us — a room that feels comfortable and welcoming the moment you walk in, the kind of place where late nights turn into memories. Fort Lauderdale is the next stop on that journey as we grow up on the East Coast, and it already feels like the right one.”

There is a new Italian restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, and I mean that in the absolute best way.

If you recognize @ketringeorgett and @toby_otto from their time at MAASS, you already know the deal here. They’ve taken those fine-dining minds and applied them to a space that feels personal, intentional, and completely stripped back. Chef @vinhhngyn and the rest of the team are turning out beautifully sauced pastas, cronchhhy focaccia, and the kind of warm hospitality that makes you want to grab people by the shoulders and tell them they have to visit @novepastahouse.

A massive thank you to @daveywinesalot, @thewhetpalette, (and @daisy_wines!) for the incredible sips and even better company. Three-hour dinners forever.
