Working on my piece for the LA Synthclub's part of @soundpedro's LB Soundbrowse happening on October 10th, 2026 on 2nd street in the sleepy, seaside town of Long Beach, CA. Using a @leafaudio Geophone to pick up sub-frequencies and vibrations to trigger gates and envelopes. Got a drone-y set up on my @noiseeng Case of Steel using a Plaits clone and Loquelic into a Motley Crue of effects and modulation. The kids are gonna love it. I've got some handcrafted voice clips extolling the wondrous city of ours. C'mon down! Ps. You rock! by @laughterbeach

Juliet and I are mentally preparing ourselves for tomorrow night's Sugar show at Palladium. Blasting this gem which has a huge place in my heart. I'm a huge Bob Mould fan from way back. New Day Rising was my intro to Husker Du and set me on a journey of awkwardly writing pop punk tunes for a few decades. Someone asked me about musical inspirations recently, in the context of electronic stuff, which in that context is Caterina Barbieri all day, all night. But duuuuuuuude, if we are REALLY being honest, it's SST mid 80's that STILL informs how I approach music, no matter the format, genre, etc. Black Flag, Meat Puppets, Minutemen, Husker Du, Dinosaur Jr. Sonic Youth. DIY, pick up an instrument and fucking go for it, mother fuckers. Swirl of melodies, emotion, and sheer volume. I've just found a new set of tools and tapestry to express what I can't express any other way. See you in the pit tomorrow night, fuckers. ;) by @laughterbeach

@talvezband rocking their inaugural show this last Sunday. Was honored to be a part of this. They are playing a bunch of shows next few months, mostly in the valley. If you need some heaviness, I highly recommend seeing them. They deliver. by @laughterbeach

When old bandmate, @rickcarles, asks to open for the inaugural gig of his new band, @talvezband, you say "yes sir. What time sir?" And you show up ready to rock. Rock we did. Well, "rock" as much as a bleep-bloop set up can do, I supposed. ;) His new band rocks hard. Stay tuned for an additional post. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Was honored to be a part of the day. :) by @laughterbeach

If you are in the area, make sure to stop by to check out this great neighborhood market (Little bird tells me that, yes, they will have egg rolls at some point like former location, Kongs, did :) ) Vid clips by my sis, @drsnarkles . Tropical Depression. Hey! We might get a gnarly storm later this week! Here's a little something to be the soundtrack to the preparation. Used with a handful of @noiseeng modules (Mimetic Digitwolis, chef's kiss...) and the main voices are using Blue Lanterns EOS synth. He is not on insta, so I'll tag @robotsarered instead, 'cause he did a wonderful run through of the EOS that I must've watched at least a half dozen times to figure this wonderful thing out. Full track is up on my YouTube channel. Stay dry! Or don't. Just stay safe. Me? I'm bailing the southland and driving up to Pacifica to see @dustedangelband play at @winterspacifica. See you in the pit, rockers. by @laughterbeach

Experiments with some @noiseeng modules. Sequencing via Mimetic Digitwolis, Bell/rings voice using the NE Incus Iteritas Alia, and glorious verb mangling with NE's Desmodus Versio. Other key modules are some Blue Lantern VCO, VCF and envelope and great ping pong delay using.@happynerding FX Aid XL.

Besides the main goal of learning Mimetic Digitwolis, This was an exercise of squeezing as much functionality, voicing, modulating as possible out of 84hp. I'm happy with the chaotic results. So much fun.

This one is for you, Julie. Full vid up on the youtoobs. by @laughterbeach
