POSTS STORIES REELS

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙚𝙩 𝙄𝙨 𝙁𝙖𝙠𝙚 • 𝙇𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙮 | Since today is @radioblitz’s birthday, I decided to stop slacking and post this! Those of you who know me, know that I consistently and constantly remove myself from this digital world. Even though I’m a marketer and know how social media works, I still fall for the bs. Its hold is unnatural and unhealthy. Radio B’s new album, #TheInternetIsFake, dives into this concept. ⁣
⁣
Although I was late, because work be workin’ me, I was able to hear the last few tracks. To know that this was also the first time he listened straight through was hella dope! FLAWLESS. POWERFUL. REAL. I felt so validated, not alone, but so conflicted. As trash as the internet is, there’s this beautiful side to it because it’s how I discover incredible artists, like Radio B. I really cannot wait for this one to drop. I feel like it has the power to 𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙀 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙒𝙊𝙍𝙇𝘿 😉⁣
⁣
I’ll be back at some point to post about 𝙁𝙡𝙖𝙜 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝟵 BECAUSE WOW! But until then, F the Internet! ⁣

𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙚 𝙇𝙖 𝙇𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙨 | Thursday nights were made for R&B!⁣ I have so much adoration for my talented Sag Sister, @signedbyshaelasoul! Her voice and presence truly make Richmond and the world brighter! I am so glad she 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘬𝘦𝘥 with Shandy! What a powerhouse! These two took us back to backyard BBQs and all our favorite family functions! And @control_theroom NEVER DISAPPOINTS! Truly, this combo can get me back outside and posting about music again!⁣
Shae, I missed you friend! So proud of you and cannot wait to see you continue to shine! ⁣

I raced from the Amtrak station to make it in time for the @big_johnny_ciggs & @radioblitz Show ft 2 of my fave producers @antthesymbol & @profound79. And, I finally got to see why @callme_trig deserves all the hype. Also, @fanranfilms is a 15/10 host. His ability to mix beats, comedy, and rhymes is something I’ve never seen and a niche he, honestly, created and dominates.⁣
I just love the community the 804 rappers have built. They perform together and share each other’s wins. A rarity. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨⁣
The last time I’ve seen anything like this was in 2011 when I met the homie, @bedfordboxoffice, who put on the DOPE Showcase at The D in the LES. He put me on to @seqobilly, who is a phenomenal rapper, #CharlyandMargaux, who did their thing with the violin and viola, and introduced me to one of the coolest cats I’ve ever met, @rux_uso_philthy. And, they built this beautiful artist community that I was honored to support. ⁣
It’s been a long time since I felt that…then I came to Richmond. So lucky to have found my people, once again! 🔥🎤🔥⁣ by @launmastered

Since I saw 𝙀𝙈𝙋𝙏𝙔 𝘽𝙀𝙉𝘾𝙃𝙀𝙎 performed live at @flagonthemoon8 in December, I’ve listened to this track almost EVERYDAY! @profound79 did HIS thing on this beat! Giving me Drive movie soundtrack vibes, like #Nightcall by @kavinsky!⁣
Now, the flow and lyrics, UNMATCHED! @rahscrillaede, @big_johnny_ciggs, & @themostdebonair did their thing PERFECTLY last night. Talk about fn stage presence!⁣
Fan Girl’d so hard! ⁣Thank y’all for being y’all! 🔥🎤🔥 by @launmastered

𝙁𝙡𝙖𝙜 𝙊𝙣 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙤𝙣 𝟴 | Maaaannnn! Everyone that told me to go to @flagonthemoon8 was on point. What a dope way to end the year. FACTS: If there is no sleep til Brooklyn, then don’t sleep on Richmond! New York Hip Hop made me, but I think Richmond Rap is saving me. The flow down here gives me energy and life. The pain, the passion, and the pleasure all comes through. It’s real, it’s gritty, it’s necessary. ⁣
⁣
Love getting to see some of my faves perform, like @radioblitz, @skinnyyhendrixx, and @chargedupnoaho, but also discover new artists to love like @grittycityrecs, truly Richmond’s WuTang, and @dyfferant. And although I know @foremoor_ as a rapper, it was fire seeing him do his dj and producer thang!⁣ ⁣
⁣
I’m sad that this is the last rap show of the year, but I’m so excited about what 2024 has to bring!⁣
Please tag your peeps if I missed em!⁣

𝙎𝙞𝙧 𝙍𝙤𝙢𝙚 @ 𝙎𝙝𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙤𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙚 | Tuesday was the start of #SagSeason♐️, so it was only fitting that I saw @sirrome_music sing songs about love and passion.
The voice on this beautiful being is of divine creation and you can hear it in every note. This was the perfect intimate experience. I’ll definitely go to another @shockoesessionslive. ⁣
And Rome, I cannot wait for the next performance! You are a true artist and your art matters. ⁣

𝙄 𝙒𝘼𝙄𝙏 • I am a high value woman. But, sometimes, I put myself on the clearance rack when I need to be in one of those special cases where they put our hair products. ⁣
✨✨✨⁣
For 2023, my intention was falling in love. And from start to almost finish, this year has been proof that Murphy’s Law exists because every single thing in my life has gone wrong. However, I have managed to deeply love myself through it. (Shout out to therapy! Black Women: Hit up @thelovelandfoundation. Everyone else, there are SOOO many resources like Loveland available. Google is the homie). ⁣
I was hoping I could manifest the love of my life as I work on setting boundaries and avoiding low-vibrational men in the last two months. But honestly, today, I’m just trying to make it to 38 on 11/26 and 1/1/24. With that said, I’m doing the social media dip. I am overstimulated and overwhelmed with my own life, which in comparison to the state of the world may seem like nothing to most, but to me, it is everything. If I am unwell, I can’t do anything or help anyone. I will always choose to put my mask on first, airplane style. I ask that y’all have compassion and empathy for one another. Humanity is taking a turn like I’ve never seen. The internet is not real place, but this world is, so choose how you move accordingly. Be blessed. Be kind. Be well. Be you.⁣

𝘿•𝙄•𝙑•𝙄•𝙉•𝙀 𝙁•𝙀•𝙈•𝙄•𝙉•𝙄•𝙉•𝙀 | The energy in this room was incomparable. The safety and warmth radiated in this space. To be surrounded by beautifully genuine people is so nourishing for the soul. ⁣
I almost didn’t attend due to receiving devastating news the night before; however, the last thing I needed was to be alone. I am so happy I came, performed, and witnessed magic on that stage. Thank you @signedbyshaelasoul and @jeezitslexx for being the most amazing hosts. This was such a wondrous event and I’m lucky to know y’all!⁣

Gassed isn’t even the word. My head is so big y’all gotta come pick me up from the sky. Is cloud 10 a thing because cloud 9 ain’t high enough! I’m beyond honored to be gracing the stage with some of the most talented women in Richmond. This is so major! My vulnerability is just thriving in Richmond and that is how I know this is my home.⁣
✨✨✨⁣
Please come through so you can bask in this Divine Feminine Energy this Friday! Shoutout to @signedbyshaelasoul. Thank you for your kindness, openness, and support! ⁣

F•I•N•A•L•L•Y | From talking about @mrchancefischer on the podcast to seeing him live, I can say 3 years was worth the wait! The charisma and talent that pours from the stage is unmatched. His intelligence oozes out of every lyric and his style is the freshest, which he very much knows. He is truly one of RVA’s Finest and the south’s very own Mr. Steal Your Girl! I wish you a very Happy Birthday and a beautiful new adventure in your new home!⁣
MAJOR SHOUTOUTS: ⁣
@sirrome_music, I love seeing you! Your energy and voice are reminders that there is something greater than all of us.⁣
@taylorkellymusic3.0, WOW! First of all, I want that blazer! Second of all, that voice! I want more!⁣
@chargedupnoaho, @foremoor_ so dope meeting y’all and can’t wait to see y’all perform again!⁣

A very happy anniversary to @openallthatsoul! @signedbyshaelasoul & @blackfolkfood created a beautiful space for artists and people to be free and vulnerable. I am thankful for them and all the artists I’ve discovered through OATS. I will say this until my lungs give out, the community of and talent in Richmond is INCOMPARABLE! Richmond is so special and I’m honored to call it home! There are some artists I missed, tag em if ya know em! ⁣
