✨A Salute to my Soul Sister✨

*Before anyone judges, this was our song, the night we met.*

Today would have been Sara’s 40th birthday. She was radiant in a way that made everyone around her feel truly seen, truly loved, truly heard. Sara never had a free moment. Filling her days with supporting loved ones & causes that moved her.

On some level I feel she knew that her time would be short, so she lived every single moment like it mattered… because it did. She never wasted a minute. She stood firm in her convictions, never wavering, never silencing herself, & she showed us all what it means to live fully.

I turned 40 last month, & dedicated this year to living like Sara. Showing up the way she did, making people feel special. Her energy was addicting. I didn’t just love her. I needed her. The woman I am today is because she gave me the space to love myself. She changed me.

This week, I tattooed the Big Dipper on my arm, tracing the freckles that have always been there. The constellation I’ve drawn in Sharpie since high school. It finally makes sense now. It was always for her. It holds her initial, that S, right there in the stars. Because Sara went home to them, & she’s shining.

To my person on what would have been your day, I’m living it for both of us. Save a spot for me in your stars. But first, I’ve got big things to do because you believed in me.✨💜 by @laur3nkay

New York or Nowhere! 🖤🩶 Lauren since I met you. You’ve been my ride or die. My sister from another Mr. When I cried you’d jump in, no questions asked. Love doing life with you my girl! ♾️ 🗝️ @laur3nkay by @laur3nkay

✨What makes a muse? An elevator epiphany✨

Suspended between floors, I feel the familiar pull of all the expectations placed on women. Be #inspiring but not too much, be seen but never #overexposed. Be a muse… beautiful, mysterious, & know your audience.

I catch my reflection in the elevator mirror, adjust a strand of hair, shift my weight, breathe. I feel #insecure. Is this slit too high? Have I gained too much weight? Can they see my wrinkles?

In these small moments I realize a woman feels guilty sharing her whole story. I am learning to turn my role into something quirkier & stronger. A muse moving through the frame on her own terms, becoming more impossible to define with every click of the camera.

That’s the magic of it all, the way the unseen parts of me linger in the shadows between flashes. His favorite. The mystery isn’t an act. It’s a presence, growing louder as the elevator descends. He captures me perfectly. Reminding me that I am a force in all my forms.

Sometimes, a muse needs a catalyst to remind her of the potential she holds. I too am this for him… a dance we’re perfecting with each day. The doors open, our hands intertwine as we walk shoulder to shoulder, ready for anything. by @laur3nkay

#SuperBowlLX proved that joy explodes when shared in community! @badbunnypr lit up the stadium, the energy was contagious. Jody & her Seahawks brought home the win. A perfect Sunday. by @laur3nkay

✨ The Art of the Holiday Exhale ✨

Holiday parties aren’t about the sparkle. They’re about the exhale.

Deadlines traded for dice. Friends glittering like confetti, joy louder than perfection.

Games spiral into giggles. Songs become shouting. Dancing like no one’s filming (but someone always is). Stress melts with the clinking glasses & shared stories.

Not the party, it’s the pause. The permission to be present. We’re slowing down time.

Here’s to nights that feel like champagne: effervescent & unforgettable.

✨Living in high contrast, a daydream✨

Presently life feels like a curated playlist. Each moment layered with taste, texture, & tone.

#powered by plates full of flavor & new memories
#fueled by fashion that feels like armor & art
#moved by music that reminds me I’m alive
#elevated by raw, unfiltered connection

Chasing moments that taste like freedom, stitching stories in every seam, dancing with rhythm as my compass, & speaking from my heart… loudly.

Authenticity isn’t a trend. It’s my revolution.

Every choice, flavor, song, & step… it’s all a manifesto for living unapologetically. by @laur3nkay
