I'm thrilled to be part of the group exhibition Stories to tell with my series AMOR FATI.

We created these works during an artist in residence program in Viarigi, a small and largely abandoned village in the Piedmont region in Italy earlier this year.

Where most of the artists gravitated towards telling the stories of the former inhabitants of the village, I chose to tell a more universal story of losing and abandoning parts of ourselves, and finding our way back.

Through intimate portraits set in the decaying interiors, I reflect on how personal history, pain and transformation take shape through reflection and resilience.

AMOR FATI is a meditation on self-love and acceptance; not just of our experiences, but of everything we’ve become because of it.

KRISS

The moment Kriss caught my eye, I knew I had to photograph him. He was instantly on board, and I simply adored his vibe and his confidence. Turns out, he is every bit as lovely as he looks cool.

I'm proud and excited to be a part of this group exhibition in Viarigi, Italy, showcasing the works created by 19 artists-in-residence during our stay in this beautiful village.

This part of the series represents my solid belief that the only way out is through. Feeling the pain, the disappointment, the heartache, to come out more healed on the other end. As hard as that may be sometimes.
