Gestalte den Pavillon mit uns! 💜

Die visuelle Identität des WDC-Pavillons basiert auf einem festen grafischen Grundsystem, das vor Ort durch eine partizipative Ebene ergänzt wird – durch Euch, die den Pavillon besuchen und mitgestalten.

Im Workshop „Grafisches Verweben“ mit @laura_hilbert_ , Art-Direktorin WDC 2026, könnt ihr schneiden, verweben, überlagern und kleben. So erweitern wir gemeinsam das visuelle System des Pavillons. Die Ergebnisse werden direkt am Pavillon angebracht und sind Teil des sich verändernden Erscheinungsbilds.

Der Walk-in-Workshop ist kostenlos – einfach vorbeikommen und mitgestalten!

/Shape the pavilion with us! In the workshop „Graphic Weaving“ with Laura Hilbert, Art Director WDC 2026, you cut, weave, layer and glue to collectively expand the pavilion’s visual system. The results are displayed directly on the pavilion, becoming part of its evolving appearance.

Very happy to have been asked to contribute one of my posters to ”TopoPosters – International Poster Design Exhibition”, the prelude exhibition of the First Shanghai Graphic Design Biennale that is still open until December 22. Thank you so much @sgd_biennale ♥️

The poster on display is for the Summer School at @museumangewandtekunst organized by @jonas_deuter by @laura_hilbert_

I’m currently working for World Design Capital Frankfurt RheinMain 2026 @wdc2026 as an Art Director.

This is one of many projects I have been working on so far: I created 20 cards that present the WDC 2026 programme, 7 of them show World Design Capital Signature Events and 13 cards show projects that have participated in the WDC Open Call and are now part of the World Design Capital 2026 programme.

The current “Looking Forward” campaign was designed by @stanhema, the overall WDC 2026 visual identity was also designed by @stanhema, based on the initial design by @jonas_deuter

Wir freuen uns auf @laura_hilbert_

Lauras Arbeit zeichnet sich vor allem durch ihre experimentelle und unkonventionelle Herangehensweise aus, welche oft mit der Vermischung von analogen und digitalen Techniken einhergeht. Die Bandbreite ihrer Arbeit reicht von visuellen Identitäten über Bücher, Plakate und Webseiten bis hin zu freien Kunstprojekten. Dabei findet sie große Freude daran neue Methoden und Materialien auszuprobieren und erfinderisch an die Grenzen der Werkzeuge zu gehen.

Some impressions of the experimental workshop „Typographic Playground“ I gave at @fhpotsdam.design last month in the class of Susanne Stahl @stahl_r
Thank you so much for having me! It was so much fun!

The workshop served as a method to develop visual aesthetics for a visual identity in an analog way and thus gave a little insight into how I like to work.

The workshop was split into two days. The first day focussed on experimental type design. The students used various analog materials to create different letters. These letters were photographed and edited digitally. They then used the letters to design posters for their semester course topic (Werkschau or BBK Brandenburg).
On the second day, the students designed posters with existing fonts, printed them out and modified them using analog materials. Afterward, they were photographed and edited digitally.

Thanks so much to everyone who participated! You did an amazing job!

Laura Hilbert is a freelance graphic designer from Offenbach. Her work is characterized above all by her experimental and unconventional approach, which often involves the blending of analog and digital techniques and frequently includes tactile elements.

The project”Membranes of Dissent” wants to fight for more tolerance of ambiguity in society, which is the ability to accept ambiguity, uncertainty, and insolvable contradictions, to endure them, and to act openly, and fairly accordingly. The desire to divide things into categories and sort them into black and white reduces diversity and an open approach to one another. My flag installation wants to counteract this. I have dealt with aspects that consItute ambiguity and how it can be anchored more in society.

Laura’s flags are currently on display at the“Boarding on the Ramp”.
