Leave the road and take the trails
•
And nothing more fun than taking your guests for a wild trail walk in the forest.
Did they find out of the woods? Yes. Yes, they did.
But then again, I hadn't intended to offer them as sacrifices to mother nature. Not this time, at least. Hehe.

I don't run from my problems. I go apple picking and climbing trees like a normal adult.
•
Who gets to say you are too old to climb trees and throw down apples for your friends to catch. Basket filled to the brim with apples of various kinds and purposes.
A very successful apple picking day. And a more successful night of processing them into jam, juice, sauce and vinegar.
•
It looks like far to many apples, but honestly, they're nearly empty and I'm in need of more. Happily the trees are still loaded, so another apple picking quest is ahead of me soon.
•
Btw, any recommendations for recipes with apples?

Find me where the wild things are ♡
•
Aren't they cute? Love those creepy crawlers and slither bugs. And love how I get to see so much wildlife casually in every day life.
To be fair, I mostly don't have good photos of that, since usually when I see them I'm not prepped with a camera.
But I have seen a moose mum with her baby calf, loads of deer, some foxes, hares and various diffrent kinds of owls up close ♡

You say Witch like it's a bad thing...

Finally, the first day of October, the best month of the year, hehe! Only sad that some projects I wanted off my back by now are still not done. But otherwise, absolutely thrilled my favourite month is here at last. With all its moodyness and spookyness ☆

Never grow up, always down
•
The fact that my entire body cracks like a glowstick and yet refuses to actually start glowing is highly disappointing.

It's okay to want to run away and live in the woods with the faeries
•
Wanting to do that a lot! Do you think the faeries serve a nice cuppa if I go with them willingly? Need a break from the building site, but haven't found a faery ring yet or have they updated the transportation system and I don't know about it, yet?

As I wander the windy woods, I gather pieces of a lost childhood ~ Angie Weiland-Crosby

Blueberry season is crazy this year. Such a large amount of huge blueberries in the forest for months. Still so much available for picking, even now.
Went picking several times with friends and made loads of blueberry jam.

A little bit of edible magic on the forest floor ☆
•
Never thought about it, but does anyone know any recipes for wood sorrel? Apart from putting it in salads.

Today I can be moody and a little witchy, too
•
Who'd want a "cleaned" up forest anyway. Apart from rotting trees being enormously important for the ecosystem, they just are absolutely magical.
Same as perfectly cleaned gardens with inch tall monoculture lawn and a few garden beds with three ornamental plants, foreign to local wildlife as well as open soil space drying out in the heat and filled with harmful weed and pest killers.
Nah, I prefer my gardens and forests a bit more rustic and spooky ♡

Forever a nature child. Lost in the wonderous wild.
•
Did I ever mention my favourite colour being green? Guess that's kind of obvious... hehe
