Work in progress for a couple galleries, plus a commission. Most of these are painted in response to my October artist residency on Vancouver Island @retreat.artist.residency, especially by my time spent exploring its wild west coast

Day One of my two week artist residency @retreat.artist.residency Lake Cowichan BC. My little cabin studio already feels like home! I am grateful and excited to have this time in this sublime and inspirational environment and to have made new friends with some accomplished and powerful artists 💚

And so it begins.
Probably my largest commission to date... I've done wider, but maybe not so tall. Huge thanks to @spencegallery for securing this commission for me with New York clients, and much appreciation to @rusticburlco for so beautifully crafting these two monster panels. I'm happily working away in the quiet serenity of my Maynooth studio 😊
96 x 72", btw! I had to stand on a step stool to shoot this😊 taken in Maynooth, Ontario by @lauraculic

So the lovely folks at Earls Court Gallery tell me the response to my show Gratitude & Reciprocity has been terrific, and therefore they've scheduled a mini-reception, Meet & Greet for Saturday May 31, 12 - 3 pm. If you couldn't make it to the opening reception, and are interested in chatting with me about my work, I would love to see you there! taken in Earls Court Gallery by @lauraculic

Thrilled to introduce the incredible @lauraculic at @earlscourtgallery!

Her deep connection to the land shines through in every brushstroke—each painting a direct, emotional response to the rugged beauty of the Canadian Shield. Whether abstract or representational, her work is rooted in time spent immersed in nature: hiking, paddling, and quietly absorbing the wild forests, lakes, and rocky landscapes.
