Really delighted that these two paintings have found their place in this beautiful home. And also so pleased that they have stayed together! The colours work with the house colours so well it’s like it was planned.

‘Sun caught in trees’ caught the sun in the studio.

This is a tall painting. Like a portal I could step through. Insta’s cropped it so its full height is lost.

The end of September, oil on canvas. Painted plein air at Charleston House in Sussex and finished in the studio.

Charleston is one of my favourite places and it’s a privilege to be able to paint there.

Passing Place is now ready and available. Oil on canvas 100x100cm.

A place a I walk often, a gate that marks a crossing over, from field to wood, light to shade, from the start to a new phase.

This has taken very many months to get right. But it is there now, and says what I want it to say.
