so excited to be bringing 𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘤 to Germany next week for Waterways Re:Imagined 💧 An evening exploring waterways as places of movement, memory and exchange, where music, literature and sound meet. Humbled to be sharing the stage with the incredible @ganavya, writer @sathnamsanghera, and the Water & Sound Ensemble. For this unique performance, 𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘤 will be reimagined in collaboration with the Water & Sound Ensemble: Aleksandra Manic (violin) and Verena Foutsop (viola) from the Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra, alongside Preetha Narayanan (violin) and Tara Franks (cello) from Balladeste, joined by Jake Long on drums and percussion. 𓂃 𓈒𓏸 Mythic ⋆°.☾⋆.ೃ࿔*:⋆ Mythic is pure saxophone fx improvisation I recorded during an unsually windy time at @ocfstudio in Hydra, I kept the windows open overlooking the islands port and sea, to capture the wind through the fx chains… as it would blew in and whispered through the furniture creating all these spontaneous micro percussion sounds. It sounds very mythical to me, like a conjuring or lament.
