This has been the most challenging but most fullfilling journey. What an honor to have ended my year at RAM playing this beautiful part in this iconic show and with the most amazing people.

Thank you Dan Bowling for entrusting me with this beast of a role even after the probably worst audition I’ve ever done (if you know you know). Thank you @bguthrie01 for your vision, your incredible direction, for always keeping the conversation open and for bringing out the best in us. Thank you @benhnyc for your inspiration and belief in us - it‘s been an absolute honor Dance Captain-ing for you! And last but not least Thank you @__georgejackson and @nathanfeeney03 for your continuous support working through this score and your (insert voice) ¡TASTE!

If I’ve learned one thing in my few years of doing this - it‘s only as fun and rewarding as your cast is. And I‘ve been blessed with the most incredible company one could‘ve asked for. Very grateful to life for bringing all these amazing people into my life and for letting me do this crazy, incredible job - I‘ll never take it for granted.

Couldn‘t be happier to finish my year at the @royalacademyofmusic working on this iconic show! I‘m gassed to say that I‘ll be playing Florence in CHESS on the 2nd and 4th of July alongside the most talented people and friends this year has gifted me.

(The incredible @nat.maiatc will be smashing that role on the 3rd and 5th and you can catch me in the ensemble on those days)

Let‘s get those chess pieces moving!

Definitely one for the books:
Performed at Wigmore Hall, had my WestEnd (choir) debut, got a „Thank you for reminding me how good this song is“ from Claude-Michel Schönberg himself after duetting with @_harrymccarthy_ , workshopped a new musical, did our agents showcase with a song so close to my heart, saw some great shows and had lots of fun along the way. And all this with the most wonderful company! ♥︎

I can‘t believe it‘s our last term now. Taking it all in and enjoying the ride.

It‘s not every day you get to honor a living legend with them actually sitting in the audience. And it‘s not every day you get to do it in such beautiful company.

One of those pinch me moments:
Since september I‘m part of the 2025/26 Musical Theatre Company at the Royal Academy of Music.
The last month has been surreal and just showed - it really takes a village for stuff like this to happen.

Thank you @anna.m.thoren for supporting and advising me throughout the audition process - and always. What I‘ve been able to learn from you these past years made me and my voice grow to places I never could‘ve imagined.
Thank you to my beautiful @freilichtspieletecklenburg cast who were such a big support this past month where I was literally jumping back and forth between two countries, and to my lovely RAM-company who received me with so much kindness.
A big and special thank you to @simone_voice_u ! Ohne dich wäre ich diese wahnsinns Reise in die Musical-Welt niemals angetreten.
And an eternal thank you to my family and my friends for always having my back. You are and always will be the best part of me. Son lo mejor de mí, y siempre lo serán.

To spend a year focusing solely on this craft is a blessing! Let‘s do this!

Ein Song, der mich immer wieder daran erinnert, dass jeder Tag eine neue Chance ist, unsere eigene Geschichte zu schreiben – offen, ehrlich und voller Möglichkeiten. 💫

I don‘t have the words yet to describe how much I loved being a part of this show.
Kate McGowan - you‘re a force!

Tausend Dank, lieber @ulrichwiggers , dass du mir diese wundervolle Rolle anvertraut hast. Dass du mir den Mut zugesprochen hast, ihr gerecht zu werden, und mich an ihr hast wachsen lassen.

@michael_b_sattler_official - my love. Danke, dass wir vom ersten Augenblick an ein Team waren! Für die Gespräche, das gemeinsame Herumfeilen an unseren Szenen und den vielen Spaß. Ich werde es vermissen, mich jeden Abend aufs Neue in dich zu verlieben.

Und meine Kates - @hannah.mie.le @gigelotti - was soll ich sagen! Dass sich so eine Schicksalsgemeinschaft derart natürlich und fast schon logisch anfühlt, ist extrem besonders. Von Herzen Danke!

Only three shows left. I will miss it.

🚢 TITANIC – DAS MUSICAL: Die Charaktere ⚓
An Bord der Titanic reisten Menschen voller Hoffnungen und Träume. In unserem Stück begegnet Ihr Einigen von ihnen. Sie alle beruhen auf realen Passagieren und Crewmitgliedern. In dieser Reihe möchten wir Euch die verschiedenen Charaktere und ihre Schicksale näherbringen.

👤 KATE MCGOWAN ⚓
🚢 Passagierin der 3. Klasse
Die Darstellung von Kate McGowan im Musical "Titanic" trägt den Namen der am 16.10.1869 geborenen Catherine McGowan, ihre Geschichte basiert jedoch größtenteils auf der am 30.10.1894 geborenen Kate Gilnagh. Kate Gilnagh war Passagierin der 3. Klasse und stammte aus Cloonee aus der Grafschaft Longford in Irland. Sie teilte sich ihre Kabine mit drei anderen Frauen aus Longford, Kate Mullin und den Murphy-Schwestern Margaret und Kate. Während der Fahrt lernte Kate Gilnagh den ebenfalls aus Longford stammenden James "Jim" Farrell kennen. In der Nacht des Untergangs hatten Kate und andere Passagiere in den Gemeinschaftsräumen der 3. Klasse eine Party gefeiert. Während des Untergangs versuchten Kate und weitere Passagiere der 3. Klasse, zu den oberen Decks zu gelangen, wurden aber von einem Besatzungsmitglied aufgehalten. Nachdem James Farrell jedoch eine Auseinandersetzung mit dem Steward begann, ließ dieser die Gruppe schließlich passieren. Aufgrund dieses Eingreifens bezeichnete Kate Gilnagh James Farrell später als ihren Schutzengel. Mit großer Mühe gelang es Kate Gilnagh, auf das Bootsdeck zu gelangen. Als sie sich in ein Rettungsboot begeben wollte, wurde sie zunächst von einem Besatzungsmitglied auch daran gehindert. Nachdem sie jedoch schrie, dass ihre Schwester in dem Boot sei, wurde ihr der Zugang zum Rettungsboot gewährt.
Kate Gilnagh überlebte das Unglück und heiratete später in New York den Chauffeur John Joseph Manning. Das Paar bekam vier Kinder. Kate Gilnagh Manning starb am 01.03.1971 im Alter von 76 Jahren.
