A re-intro 👋🏼

I’ve had an influx of new faces here (thanks big And) in the last week so wanted to share a bit about me & a few random things 🤍 welcome, hi, love ya, bye 🤍 by @lauraloumakeup

….its been nearly 6 years of waiting for Margot to call me ‘Mummy’ and it finally happened.

Margot is autistic / pre-verbal and only says quite simple singular words at the moment. She ALWAYS says and signs for ‘Daddy’ and has called me ‘NANA’ (👵🏼!) for about a year. Ffs. But finally - Mummy is now being used and it was the sweetest , fuzziest feeling when she was calling me it for the first time. I honestly never knew if she ever would or even far along her verbal communication would get. That’s the thing about having a child with SEN - the future is hugely unknown - and with that it draws SO much worry and over-thinking….and lots of spiralling. 💭

BUT..

Small wins + moves forward. I’ll take it all 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽🤍✨ by @lauraloumakeup

I get sent way too much skincare and it’s easy to want to slather everything on and have a 22-step daily routine thinking it’ll cure all the problems you see in the mirror. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won’t and I have been stripping back my routine lately a little.

I’m now middle-aged (lol) and it’s only now I’m really understanding my skin, feeling the changes and working with them. Apparently we have ‘ageing spurts’ at the age of 45 (me this year) and 60 and I absolutely think this is true as I’ve noticed a LOT of changes in a short period of time this year + combined with stress , it can be a little MEH looking in that mirror and coming online to see your peers and comparing.

Anyway this is me on my BEST skin day so I wanted to show off plus I’m loving these @biodance_eu collagen eye patches btw. (Purchased by me)

Pumpkin picking 2026 - impromptu trip to @dartsfarm as everyone said it was amazing. Drove an hour, realised I had, in fact, been before as I have actually scaled most of the incredible farm shops in the south-west and beyond.

It was fun. Lots of cute photo ops and food stalls etc etc. I don’t think I’ve been to a proper patch like this before so was a good experience but also kinda exhausting. It’s a whole thing these days isn’t it? Nearly kicked off at the swing at the top of the field because 2 boys were taking too long and using it as an ACTUAL swing as opposed to a photo opportunity 🤪 it was ok though no fists were thrown but it was close. When we finally had our turn I said ‘Margot get on the swing’ and she said ‘NO’ so that was that.

we are still doing everything seperately btw - nothing as a family - I’m taking the wee man tomorrow for a Halloween trail for some different fun. 🫶🏼🧡

Cute day @dartsfarm 🫶🏼 yesterday.

I’m exhausted with Instagram - the do’s , the don’t the trends, the algorithm, the best practice etc etc. it changes every month and I’m just too tired of this sh**. I’m uploading like it’s 2017 so more photos incoming.

Like if you like don’t if you don’t. 😀✌🏼 by @lauraloumakeup

Unbox the @lookfantastic Vault with me!

14 full size beauty products - £200 / value £760

A good alternative to an advent if you feel a lot of them this year are a bit wishy-washy / too many travel sizes or products you may not even use. This is a brilliant curation of mixed beauty.

Contains @officialmedik8 @augustinusbader @mzskinofficial @maccosmeticsuki @virtuelabs @narsissist @livingproofuk @katesomervilleskincare @jomalonelondon @fentybeauty @olehenriksen @nuxe_uk @theordinary

Purchased by me btw.

This @spacenk store is a dream 🫶🏼

📍Bath, UK = The biggest store in the world.

So many brands - exclusives, niche, favourites, ssslightly more affordable along with the all-out-luxe that Space NK is known for. A little playground of beauty discovery and I would highly recommend a pit-stop if you are in the South-West.

Who remembers when Space NK was primarily teeny boutiques that we were too scared to walk inside (well I was when I was younger 🤪) It’s come a long way….but still has that nice, familiar feel and a true destination for beauty discovery & exploring. 🤍

NOW WHO WANTS TO SEE INSIDE THE BAG?!

Pr invite
