Happy release day to Solar Eclipse of The Heart!🫶

Solar Eclipse of The Heart follows Annalise, a logical and science based young adult, who is experiencing great grief and is counting down the days until she leaves to her PHD Program. In order to keep her inherited home under her ownership while she is in her PHD program, she must find someone to sublet her apartment. After carefully considering her options, Annalise selects Mackenzie Smith to sublet and be her roommate for 3 months before she leaves. Annalise is terrified and surprised when she finds out the Mackenzie is actually a very attractive man and not the female Tuba player that her online search led her to believe would be her roommate. Something else that comes with Mackenzie? An unexplainable leather jacket that keeps taking Annalise to visions of her late uncle that intertwines some invisible strings for Annalise. As Mackenzie and Annalise grow closer, there is a lot of emotion that Annalise must explore and her future may look different than she original planned.

This was such a special read. There was sweet romance, community and friendship, the processing of grief and perfect magical realism. I adored the romance and magic so much. Mackenzie was a sweet MMC and I wanted to hug Annalise throughout the story.

If you’re looking for a light but meaningful read, I highly recommend this one.

Thank you so much to Random House, NetGalley & Kate Robb for the ARC of The Solar Eclipse of The Heart. by @lauralovesthelibrary
