Laura López @laloto.design works at the quiet edge between classical image-making and machine perception. Her MITO Universe portfolio explores objects, figures, and interiors as synthesized presences; metallic vessels that were never manufactured, portraits that suggest interiority without bodies, spaces that feel like future ruins shaped by aggregated vision.

What stands out is restraint. Laura resists spectacle, letting subtle inconsistencies surface: light that pools strangely, textures that loosen at the edges. AI becomes a material with seams.

Still life, portraiture, architecture; made unfamiliar again.

My proposal for MCRBCN was My visual love letter to Barcelona. It combines flowers and 19th-century tableware generated with AI. The flowers symbolize the city’s diversity and artistic spirit, while the tableware evokes tradition. Through AI, I reinterpret these elements, creating a dialogue between innovation and cultural heritage.

My Final Degree Project, “Más allá de lo visual: a synthesis of the digital image”, was born from the need to understand what the digital image truly is today. Beyond graphic representation, I approach it as a complex system with technical, symbolic, and cultural dimensions.

The project blends theory, practice, and critical analysis to develop a visual language based on symbols — materialized through a series of posters and a sculptural installation that brings the experience into a physical and sensory space.

An ending, but also a new beginning.
