EVOLUTION

A drinking fountain designed for a public space for children, such as a playground, this functional sculpture evokes the image of children playing with toy animals. Water spouts from the mouth of a dinosaur, followed by a sequence of domestic and wild animals at varying scales, exploring themes of evolution and the importance of protecting them.

VOYEUR 1

The chestnut pan, the winter ritual of roasting chestnuts and the chestnuts vendors in the streets - obsolete object and tradition within north American culture. The chestnut pan has been changed sculpturally to function as a Carnival mask, peering through its perforated holes and eye-shaped cut outs, to evoke and celebrate the Venetian Carnival Season!!

The last construction step of PRIMA TABLE is placing the crystal glass tabletop to the bronze prisms table legs. This requires special hardware and a heating technique that binds the crystal top to the bronze round pads which will be screwed to the bronze bases. This allows for disassembling the crystal top from the bronze bases for easier transportation.

Materials: Bronze, crystal glass
Date: 2023
Dimension: h. 77 x 230 x 140 cm

Work that is currently not showcased on my website.
