The Children of Valerie Targaryen & Lucian Blackwood ______________________________________________________ easily the most ‘dark & twisted’ of all of my ocs, valerie’s children are an interesting bunch. if you want more information on them you’re gonna have to navigate over to twitter, as i have family members and old friends following my insta whom i have no wish to frighten away 🤣❤️ just know that these 5 embody a gothic novel and the targaryen spirit. i’ll leave it at that for now. in order of the slides, meet: aerion, valaena, maelora (valaena’s younger twin), shiera, and viserra (the only truly good egg of this group). i also wanted to give yall a heads up that this is looking up to be the busiest semester i’ve ever had. unfortunately that means really slowing down on art and posting, which in all honesty is breaking my heart. i love what i do, but to lose the freedom of creativity in my life is bringing me down just a bit. i will still be working on commissions of course, albeit slowly and steadily. i really appreciate everyone’s patience during this time. you all have helped keep me sane ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 #asoiaf #asoiafoc #originalcharacter #digitalart #housetargaryen by @laurelizabetharts

🤍Lady Mysaria / Lady Misery🩸 “ the woman now known as Lady Misery became the mistress of whisperers in all but name, with eyes and ears in every brothel, alehouse, and pot shop in King’s Landing, and in the halls and bedchambers of the mighty as well.” ______________________________________________________ another week, another post HOTD portrait! one of my beloved twitter moots (@/ vvave3005) c0mmissioned me to draw my own version of mysaria— and since so many of yall have expressed interest in a portrait of her as well, i wanted to share her here!! as per many of my dance era portraits, my mysaria is somewhere between her show & book versions. i had sooo much fun with this portrait, and hope yall appreciate her!! sadly, part 2 of my summer classes begins tonight, so this is the last of the weekly posts until i have a lil more time on my hands. as always i appreciate yall endlessly and hope you’re having the best summer! ❤️ #mysaria #ladymisery #housetargaryen #asoiaf #fireandblood by @laurelizabetharts

⚔️art trade🥀 ______________________________________________________ for my beloved mutual Athens (@aextrueblue ) , her OC; Chai Saena, daughter of the God-Emperor of Yi Ti & a woman from Old Valyria 🐦‍🔥🐉 Saena is a very smart woman with a no nonsense attitude and a powerful political mind. She’s very straight forward & handles a lot of matters for her father including helping with military strategy, Yi Ti/ Leng relations, and managing criminal activity. Pls follow Athens for more on this diva— her OC’s are truly unmatched!! in return, Athens drew this gorgeous rendition of my Amarantha Tyrell, daughter of Leo Longthorn and wife to Prince Matarys! More info can be found on mine (Laura’s) page 🤗 a hugeee shoutout to Athens for agreeing to do this trade with me, it was truly a blast and i hope yall love these girlies as much as we do! #asoiaf #asoiafoc #originalcharacters by @laurelizabetharts

“- softly, with hands as gentle as rain, I shall strangle him.” Queen Aemma Arryn with the head of her husband King Viserys I Targaryen— commissioned for aemmaweek2026 on twt, hosted by my lovely mutual kenzie <3 ______________________________________________________ i don’t always share my comms here, but when i do, they’re bangers like this one!! i was so excited when kenzie sent me this prompt; its darker than most things i’ve worked on in the past & was actually a lot of fun to put together. to avoid discourse on my artwork; i feel the need to make it clear THIS IS AN AU!!! its fine if you disagree with it for any reason, but let’s be respectful to the commissioner’s vision pls!! anyway!! i hope yall have a great weekend. i’ve almost finished my first year of grad school, just gotta hang in there a littleeee longer! #aemmaarryn #housearryn #housetargaryen #fanart #asoiaf by @laurelizabetharts

before the spring 🥀 ______________________________________________________ i was completely blown away by all the love amarantha got when i shared her portrait + lore. i’m obsessed with her and matarys right now, she’s very quickly climbing the ranks of my favorite ocs. that said, this started out as a very low commitment sketch, but quickly evolved into something i’m incredibly proud of!! so here’s amarantha & her prince, ‘before the spring’, if you will 💔 #akotsk #housetargaryen #housetyrell #fanart #asoiaf by @laurelizabetharts

🥀lady amarantha tyrell🐉 [oc] ______________________________________________________ introducing my newest oc, amarantha! after akotsk aired, i knew i was well overdue to make a dunk & egg era oc. amarantha was born in 191ac, to leo longthorn and his wife, lady victaria tyrell (neé kidwell)— who hard children later in life due to difficulties conceiving. her older brother lorent is heir to highgarden, while her younger sister calanthe (named after a type of orchid) later becomes lady swann. from a young age, amarantha was betrothed to prince matarys targaryen, though, the pair did not meet until they were nearly wed. originally a political match, lord leo and prince baelor agreed their children would marry when they came of age— with the ‘even younger prince’ receiving his own, brand new castle in the reach upon the wedding. the two met unexpectedly at a feast and quickly became friends, falling in love of their own accord despite the arranged nature of their relationship. they married in 207ac, in the most lavish ceremony kings landing had seen in a long time. a year into their marriage, they had a son; prince valerian (named after the flower, though both amarantha and matarys found the word play quite humorous. he was closely followed by a sister, princess aerlys (a play on eirlys, the welsh word for snowdrop. both babies are named after flowers!). neither amarantha nor matarys were present at ashford. they remained in kings landing to see to baelor’s duties as heir and help king daeron ii as needed. although amarantha survived the great spring sickness, her love and their daughter were not so lucky. some say she poisoned the maester’s she deemed ‘incompetent’; though none can be sure, as their symptoms mimicked those of the sickness… valerian became king at barely two years old, with amarantha acting as her son’s regent (closely advised by the surviving members of house targaryen as well). he ‘reigned’ for less than a year, mysteriously passing away in the cradle. she never remarried, and lived out the rest of her days in highgarden, where she became an inspiration to a young olenna. if you read this far know that ilysm <3 #asoiaf #akotsk by @laurelizabetharts
