A Protein yap! 🗣️

I’ve been asked a lot whether or not we considered putting protein in our salad dressings and the answer is yes we sure did. But we were quickly made aware of:

1. How bad salad dressing tastes when you try to cram protein into it and
2. To legally claim that your dressing is “protein packed,” you have to meet the FDA minimum requirement of 5g per serving … and that is deceptively tough to do unless your product is almost completely made of protein. 🥴🤮

I took a jar of marinara and made the best tomato soup I’ve ever had. 🍅 Roasted fennel, onion and garlic, a couple teaspoons of the Med, and a little half-and-half and Parmesan, all in one pot. It’s homemade-ish, just like everything I make.

Send this to someone who needs a cozy dinner this week. 💛
