✶ ✶ chicago 26.2! ✶ ✶ finished in 4:56:17 making it my second fastest marathon! i was faster than expected with my knee but far off from my original goal but more importantly i had a great day and was having a pretty easy run until maybe mile 22 when my watch & headphones died (don’t stream music from your garmin, lesson learned). i’m so grateful for everyone that supported me and can’t wait to get a faster time next year 🩵♥️ #chimarathon #chicago #abbottwmm #womenrunning #running taken in Chicago, Illinois by @laurenbalous

it’s timeeeeee! chicago marathon weekend is the best weekend ♥️🩵
i will def not be getting anything close to the time i was originally shooting for thanks mainly to knee issues but i’m so grateful to be able to here and still be able to run around my favorite city for the sixth time 🥰

summertime at home >>>
running along the lake is one of my favorite things and i was so happy to have gloomy days that felt like fall mixed with the perfect sunny ones ♥️ also, so wild that i can literally run between two states and time zones!!
very, very sad to be back in vegas and the desert now 🥲

taking five days off from running felt like eternity & gave me anxiety with chicago only 89 days away but i’m feeling better(ish) finally and can get back on schedule ☺️
