WHY, HELLO THERE! It has been a year and a bit since I launched my newsletter Well, Actually… on @substack, which I’m blown away to say now has more than a THOUSAND readers, and I thought the time was ripe for a little reintroduction on here✨

For those who might be new to following me on here, I am a health and wellness journalist of eight-plus years - based in lovely Lisbon - who has seen a trend or three in my time covering this weird and wonderful trillion-dollar industry…

I’m passionate about sifting through glowing promises for mind and body in the nutrition, fitness, mental wellbeing, women’s health and beauty spaces - sorting the claims with substance from those that are money and energy most certainly not well spent. My newsletter is genuinely healthy feel-good chat well-nourished with science and expert insight.

Feeling curious? Fancy joining my lovely subscribers? (Well-hive? Actuallifties? I think I’ve gone too far) - sign up for the weekly digest via the link in my bio ✨ (and yes this video did take me four hours to make in Canva 🙈) by @laurenelclark

Have had the most lovely feedback on my @womenshealthuk cover interview with the super-inspiring @lizearleme - including from the woman herself 💙✨

Woke up on Monday to discover my piece about a truly dreamy little corner of Portugal, that the Sussexes seem to love just as much as me, had made @thetimes front cover (!!!) ✨ thank you @conwayc2 for the commission 🙏 by @laurenelclark

I interviewed the brilliant @ashleylouisejames for the cover of @womenshealthuk’s gorgeous July/ August issue 🔥 Our conversation covered everything from wishing she’d cherished her single years and the problem with romanticising motherhood, to leaving no tricky topic untackled in her moving book Bimbo (such an important read) and how we can all be a little more political - thank you so much to @nikki_osman_ and @roisin.dervishokane 🧡

Magazine out now - and how very nicely does it go with this summer heatwave ☀️ by @laurenelclark

Thank you also to @scarlettwrench for one of my favourite commissions ever, which ran in MH’s November issue, on how the ‘meal deal’ has shaped lunchtime nutrition over the past 40 years - love it when a ‘shower thought’ becomes a piece! Great to include the insight of @lucia_foodpowernutrition, @harrywallop, @jennahopenutrition, @historyeats, Rachel Smith @thirdspacelondon, @dietitian_annabel and findings from the @bootsuk archive ✨ by @laurenelclark
