Gush about an amazing person tiiiiiiime! ;)
@cantstandstill218 the universe needs more people like you!!!! ✨🪐🌎🪩🦄💖
I don’t know many who show up the way you do for your friends, approach everything with such curiosity and undimmable joy, and live life like a party!
I treasure our friendship and can’t wait to see what you get up to next!

Heatwave 3/3 : Boogie 😎
📸 @jpzimage

A final few (for now 😉) from this fun shoot!

In addition to poses, I’m trying to work on getting better at dance photos that capture actual dancing.
I still mildly panic when a photographer says something like ‘now just move through it’, but seeing these shots helped me realize that there can be something really funky and free about the in-between, let loose moments. by @laurenetreat

Heatwave 2/3 : Corner
📸 @jpzimage

More of my favs from a sweaty summer shoot day!

I haven’t made posts on the grid in a while because I wasn’t sure what I wanted to “say” nor “who” I was saying it to.
But then I was listening to a podcast and someone described instagram as the way they “scrapbook”. I used to LOVE scrapbooking and want to have these pictures here in another place other than my camera roll 1) because they are the very beautiful work of a fellow artist (photographer Juan), and 2) because I’m very grateful for what I do, and like a scrapbook, I hope this is a way for people who know me to see the memories I cherish and through that know me better. by @laurenetreat

Heatwave 1/3 : Wall
📸 @jpzimage

In honor of making it through the heatwave in nyc this weekend, I’m finally posting these pics from the last heatwave!
@jpzimage and I had the date planned before we knew it was going to be in the triple digits that day. We pushed the shoot time to the evening, drank a bunch of electrolytes (which I also massively spilled in my bag of pointe shoes about 3 minutes into shooting 🫣), and ended up having a playful, sweaty, amazing time.
I can still feel the peeling paint and the ants mixing with my sweat when I look at these wall pics! 😂 by @laurenetreat

A belated post for a performance that I very much enjoyed back in February!
A combination of working with a then new to me choreographer @farbie who I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know since, and dancing with one of my dearest and longest time partners ever @cantstandstill218 in costumes by @paillettebylc …

✨ In this reel, I step right into the Land of Sweets and, as the Prince of Narnia, I ask the Sugar Plum Fairy, Dewdrop, Nutcracker Prince, Clara, and the Snow Queen one simple question:
“How are you doing in the Land of Sweets?” 👑✨
It’s a full-on magical interview with our Nutcracker characters, all in their enchanted element. No breaking the spell—just pure holiday magic!

Come join the fun!

Thank you @danceinforma and @emilysarkissiandance for inviting me to join these other teachers I admire so much (@amanda_treiber_ @yuzzz12 @francislawrence) to speak about the mutually beneficial aspects of parallel performing and teaching careers!
10 years ago @norwalkdance gave me the opportunity to start teaching and it has been a journey of more growth, discovery, challenge, and joy than I could have imagined!

Congratulations, Kurt!!!🥳💐🙌 @kurtfroman
This one needed a spot on the grid❤️
Kurt, @pnb_school is so INCREDIBLY lucky to have you joining them as Head of the Men’s Division!
It was your final (for now 🤞) class at @stepsonbroadway today and while I couldn’t be there I’ve definitely been reflecting on the gift of your classes.
I will be carrying the light and wisdom you’ve imparted in every one of your classes with me until I see you again hopefully very soon.
Nyc always calls its people back ;)
All my love and best of luck!! ❤️❤️❤️
