I cried editing this & I am crying again now, trying to find the words to describe what it was like to see James cross the finish line @challengeroth last Sunday 💞He has been training for this event for a whole year, getting up at 6:30am most mornings to swim, spending five or six hours on the bike, pouring every ounce of energy and time and headspace into the process - and yet still showing up for me and our life, too, even in the thick of it all.This man is the very best of eggs, the most dedicated and disciplined person I have ever known, and the reason why my heart is so full right now. After all of the training, all of the personal sacrifice he has made, it was just so special to watch him run across that finish line, exhausted and a little bit broken, but so proud and relieved to have made it to the end. As is his character, James has so far been relatively nonchalant about the whole thing, but I will remain in a state of total awe for at least the next 3-6 business days. We will talk about this forever. And I will never stop being his biggest, loudest cheerleader 🤍 by @laurenkatebrook

Dinner in Rochefort @ardellerestaurant 🍷 a substack rundown of our European sojourn will be coming very soon, but I couldn’t not dedicate a post to Virginie & Martijn’s place - more supper club than restaurant, 6 tables, seasonal menu, with the most beautiful handpicked ingredients and wines and wonderful hospitality. Truly such a special experience, and even more so as James booked it for our anniversary 💞 if you ever find yourself in Belgium, book this immediately! by @laurenkatebrook

Mornings @lesterrassesdesfalizes 🌞 I have so much to share from our European road trip & this special place was truly the cherry on top 🍒 tucked away in Rochefort in Belgium, unassuming, beautifully curated, the perfect 24-hour stay (although we wish it could have been much, much longer).
