I have been quieter here for a few days.Partly because I have been present with my family.Partly because I have been reflecting on the life, work, decisions, prayers, strategy, and implementation that brought me to this season.This summer has felt especially meaningful.I am watching my children grow into themselves. I am seeing experiences I once imagined for our family become real. At 24 years old, I became a single mother, divorcing, with two children under two.I remember looking at them and thinking:Someday, somewhere, I am going to build a life with more options for us.The option to work differently.The option to travel.The option to expose them to the world, its people, its cultures, and its possibilities.The option to raise children who felt comfortable anywhere—who could become global citizens, speak multiple languages, follow their curiosity, and know that the world was theirs to explore.That vision became one of the guiding forces of my life.It shaped the businesses I built.The investments I made.The opportunities I pursued.The rooms I entered.And the way I defined success.This summer, after nearly three weeks in Thailand, Chloe and I traveled to Spain to see Jayden, who had already spent part of his freshman year exploring Silicon Valley and studying abroad.Then he added Split and the Croatian islands to our family itinerary.And off we went.Boats. Gelato. New islands. New people. Long summer days.
