G’day, nice to meet you ☀️ Here’s my story through the years. Throughout my journey, I’ve always loved two things - great art/design and helping people live their best life through interior design 🙌

Spring is here and I’m sharing some bright colourful ways to incorporate floral elements into your home. It’s also my birthday this month so I’m hoping some botanical vibes come my way too!!

1. Exquisite drum Lampshade featuring vibrant native flowers from @rubystartraders ⭐️

2. Anything from @bonnieandneil - I love it all 🩵

3. @katekennedyartaustralia is a talented Mackay artist who uses vivid colour and texture 🎨 This gorgeous piece is called ‘Softly Held’.

4. I’ve followed Rachel Castle from @rachelcastleandthings for a long time and I just love her style. Little Garden quilt cover is so sweet. Also check out Rachel’s artwork.

5. I was gifted this lovely vase. It is by @erinlightfootstudio and Libby Harwood. It looks so good on our bathroom shelves. by @laurentaylor_design

Can’t give up my day job yet but had to share that I grew my first tomato that isn’t a cherry variety! 🍅

What hobbies do you have?

An oldie but a goodie! I compiled these furniture selections back in 2015 for a resort concept. It would still work today. The pops of colour are joyous!
These cushions may not still be available from @bonnieandneil but they certainly have some amazing cushions in their current collections as does @katiemckinnon_art . Sadly @popandscott don’t sell their iconic plant pots anymore but they now have beautiful lighting and furniture. by @laurentaylor_design

I’m curious! What did you call this breakfast when you were younger?

We called it a Dippy Egg! And still do actually 😆 Always served with buttered toast cut into ‘soldiers’ 💕

“Be faithful to your own taste, because nothing you really like is ever out of style.” Billy Baldwin

Baldwin was an American Interior Decorator in the mid 1900s who championed personal authenticity over passing trends.

I love this concept. I really admire how an interior can reflect a family’s personality and tell their story through art, colour and it’s vibe. by @laurentaylor_design

I spent 3.5 abroad in the UK when I was younger. I was an Interior Designer for the in-house design team at Malmaison and Hotel du Vin. They had hotels all over the UK and when I was there, they were working on an aggressive expansion plan.

Hotel du Vin was started by Robin Hutson and the late Gerard Basset. Their first hotel was in Winchester, England and they had a mural painted on the wall of themselves… and it started a tradition!

When the hotels were sold in 2004, management and our design team wanted to honour the character and style of the original 6 Hotel du Vins.

As a result my colleagues and I were painted on the walls of two British hotels! This one was in the reception of Hotel du Vin Poole (I was the project Interior Designer but didn’t see it completed until this photo was taken in 2010) and one in a meeting room at Hotel du Vin Cambridge (my other ‘baby’).

The incredibly realistic artwork was painted by @melholmesart - so talented!

Marmalade made! Basil pesto next on the menu….

Bonus points for not burning the jam like I did when I tried to make the stovetop version. Thank goodness for the Thermomix!
