I am extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Denison University! I am so grateful for this opportunity to continue throwing at the next level.

I want to thank my parents and all the coaches I have had throughout the years. Without the help and support from everyone, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I want to give a special thank you to Coach Ford and the rest of the Denison coaching staff for believing in me and giving me this opportunity to be a part of this amazing team. I cannot wait for what is ahead!

Happy Senior Sunday! by @laurenthrows

It was my pleasure this year to organize the third annual clothing and household items drive for GreenHouse17, central Kentucky’s domestic abuse shelter. by @laurenthrows

State bound in discus and shot put! It was a rainy, muddy meet but I am so excited that I qualified in both events! I got first place in discus with a 108-3ft throw and second place in shot put with a 29-01ft throw. Next stop is state on Friday! #elistrong💚 #lovelikeeli by @laurenthrows

Prom with my teammates! 💙🤍 by @laurenthrows

Best indoor season yet! At 2A Indoor State, I set a PR of 30-7ft and placed 7th in shot put. The girls team as whole won 1st place! I was able to compete in a meet unattached to throw weight and threw 34-0ft. I am very proud of this season and cannot wait for outdoor! Thank you to all my coaches, teammates, and friends for supporting me this season!! 💙🤍 by @laurenthrows

Great indoor season so far! I got a pr in indoor shot put of 29-1ft and broke the school record! I also completed weight and got a massive pr of 34-0ft. Can’t wait for the rest of this season! by @laurenthrows

Golden hour 3 turns! by @laurenthrows

Last summer I partnered with Greenhouse 17 for a clothing drive in my neighborhood, and it was a huge success. This summer I was honored to work with them again. This year I was able to expand the drive to multiple neighborhoods. I ended up collecting a SUV full of clothing and other household items for the brave women and children escaping domestic abuse who Greenhouse17 supports. Thank you to everyone who donated and am looking forward to expanding to help even more women and children next year! Go to https://greenhouse17.org/ to learn how you can help. by @laurenthrows

USATF Junior Olympics this year went great! I started by throwing hammer and got a huge PR of 93-01ft, placing me 21st. Next I threw discus. I threw a 103-07ft and placed 26th. My last event was javelin. I threw 99-11ft and placed 14th. I am very proud of how I did in each event because it was very challenging with the weather each day being over 100 degrees. This was a great way to end this season and I am already ready for the next. by @laurenthrows

This past weekend I completed at the USATF Junior Olympic State Qualifier. I started the day off by trying a new event, hammer. I threw 82-3” and got silver! I then threw discus and threw a 104-5” and won first! Lastly, I threw javelin. I got a personal best of 102-3” and won first place! I had friends cheering me on the whole day and encouraging me to try new things! I am so thankful for all the friends I have made through throwing! by @laurenthrows
