Before ➡️ After ✨ This little entryway went from dark and forgotten to light, bright, and totally functional—with just a few thoughtful updates. We preserved the charm of the original woodwork while updating the wall color, lighting, and styling for a fresh yet timeless feel. I swapped heavy wallpaper for a crisp coat of white paint, layered in vintage-style lighting, and added a simple black bench with storage below. A wall-mounted coat rack keeps clutter off the floor, and soft textures, natural baskets, and greenery make the space feel lived-in but tidy. Design tip: Even a small space can feel inviting with the right balance of form and function. Don’t overlook your entry—it sets the tone for the whole home. #BuffaloInteriors #EntrywayDesign #BeforeAndAfter #HistoricHomeRestoration #SmallSpaceStyle #MudroomInspo #InteriorDesignBuffalo #LaurenWilliamDesign by @laurenwilliamdesign
A Guest Bedroom That Doubles as a Design Moment 🖤🛏️ Built-in bunkbeds but make it elevated. This custom guest room was designed to blend form and function—perfect for sleepovers, visitors, or even a cozy retreat of your own. The black frame adds architectural drama, while light wood and layered neutrals keep the vibe calm and inviting. Swipe to see how thoughtful storage, layered textiles, and custom shelving bring this space to life. 📍Buffalo, NY 📐 Built-in bunkbed design 🖤 Perfect for guest rooms, vacation rentals, or small-space solutions Thinking about a custom bunkbed or maximizing your guest space? One of the biggest everyday challenges in our Victorian home here in Buffalo is coat storage—especially in winter! Our current entryway (seen in the middle slides) works hard but struggles to keep up with our family’s needs (hello, piles of shoes and not enough hooks 😅). The first slide shows a conceptual render I designed to reimagine the space—one that feels like it’s always been part of the home. The plan includes a small bump-out addition (we have the room!) and incorporates: • integrated coat storage with a hanging rod • a pull-out drawer for shoes • a bench seat for putting them on comfortably • and trim work that ties into the historic character of our 1890s house. The last slide is a major inspiration—beautifully warm and tailored. I’m not sure where the image originated, so if you know the designer or creator, please let me know so I can credit properly! Still in the planning stage, but I’m excited to share this vision as we slowly shape a more elegant, practical, and cohesive entry space. #BuffaloInteriorDesign #VictorianHome #InteriorDesignBuffalo #FoyerGoals #HistoricHomeDesign #EntrywayStorage #BuiltInBench #InteriorDesignPlans #LaurenWilliamStudio #BuffaloHomes #VictorianRestoration #BuffaloRenovation #DesigningOurHome #SmallSpaceSolutions by @laurenwilliamdesign

A moody bath retreat designed for sensory immersion and quiet drama. ⁣ The space is anchored by a sculptural stone soaking tub framed by a hand-painted mural inspired by 18th-century landscape panels—bringing depth, stillness, and a sense of narrative to the room. Custom LED cove lighting grazes the floor and shower threshold, enhancing the arched architecture while guiding movement through the space. Walls and millwork are bathed in a bespoke terracotta hue, blending warmth and boldness with a painterly touch. Concept: A modern interpretation of European bath houses—intimate, grounded, and cinematic. Sourcing Highlights: • Tub – Honed limestone, artisan carved • Mural – Hand-painted on site with mineral pigments • Fixtures – Brushed bronze, minimalist silhouettes • Lighting – Integrated LED with warm dim functionality Design by Lauren William Design #MoodyInteriors #LuxuryBath #DesignNarrative #ArchedArchitecture #PaintedMural #WellnessDesign #InteriorInspiration #PortfolioWork #LaurenWilliamDesign by @laurenwilliamdesign
Before & After | Shango Bistro Bar We took this beloved local restaurant from a moody, heavy 90s palette to a lighter, more elevated atmosphere—while still honoring its New Orleans soul. ✨ The goal: a contemporary refresh that didn’t erase the character, just brightened the storytelling. Think gas lantern-inspired lighting, crisp marble textures, and warm wood tones that glow instead of absorb. The booths stayed—but got a total facelift. The vibe stayed—but now it hums with light. Swipe to see the transformation. #InteriorDesign #RestaurantDesign #BeforeAndAfter #ShangoBistro #LaurenWilliamDesign #CommercialDesign #NewOrleansVibes #DesignPortfolio by @laurenwilliamdesign
Before & After: A Renaissance Reimagined 🎨✨ Who says you need a full renovation to completely shift the tone of a space? This transformation channels the moody depth and drama of the Italian Renaissance using one unexpected tool: paint. A deep emerald green coats every surface—walls, cabinetry, trim—blurring boundaries and creating a richly layered effect that feels timeless, sculptural, and alive. This is proof that high-impact design doesn’t always require demolition… just vision, tone, and a brave brushstroke. #LaurenWilliamDesign #KitchenTransformation #BeforeAndAfter #EmeraldGreenKitchen #PaintedCabinetry #InteriorDesignInspo #BuffaloDesign #ItalianRenaissanceModernized #ApproachableLuxury by @laurenwilliamdesign
Before ➡️ Conceptual After Sondra’s kitchen had the kind of timeless layout that immediately sparked inspiration. I asked if I could use it as a canvas to explore a different design direction—one rooted in warmth, texture, and history. This conceptual reimagining leans into a moody Italian aesthetic, transforming a traditional new build into a space that feels as though it’s evolved over centuries. A layered look, rich in materiality and soul.
