1 week before my birthday, our precious puppy teddy passed away. i never knew that i could love an animal this much. he was only with us for a short amount of time, but he was the best puppy anyone could ever ask for!

teddy was an extremely strong puppy considering how small he was. after our first visit with the vet, our vet ran a few tests and told us that teddy had parasites in his intestines. we weren't extremely worried about this because it was a common parasite for puppies. a few days later, david rushed teddy to the vet because teddy seemed weak and didn't seem as energetic as he should have been. after the vet visit, he seemed a bit more active, but our vet ran another test for him just in case. he was given some medicine and was sent back home.
just two days later, teddy fell weak again. he was unable to stand up without falling and was unwilling to eat on his own, so we immediately took him to the ER where he was taken to critical care. 5 days later, we got our sweet teddy back. we were so happy to have our baby back in our hands. he was crying like a puppy, eating like he should, wagging his tail, and being almost himself. we were so hopeful that he would get better, but shortly after we got him back, we had to take him back to the ER because he had declined again. we were told that teddy somehow got distemper AND parvo, the worst viruses a dog could get. although our hearts were broken to hear this news, we still had hope that he would make it and come back home to us. we kept getting good news from our vet, so things were looking bright. sadly, last wednesday, we were told that teddy passed away. i'm happy that he's in a better place now, and he will forever be in our heart!

teddy has been on my mind night and day since the day he passed, and on my birthday david gifted me a heart necklace with teddys ashes inside. thank you for being apart of this journey with me my love! i'm so glad to have someone like you by my side. i have never been gifted something so special and meaningful. i will forever cherish it!
