Yorkshire Wartime 2026

My first event with the lovely Kampfgruppe Jäger and portraying a DRK Helferin. Was lucky to meet so many fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable folk. Spent a whole lot of time on display hiding from the heat and enjoying the food.
And I cant wait to do it all again at Victory Show this weekend!

*It shouldn't need to be said but of course this is for educational purposes and in no way glorifying war or supporting the actions and political opinions of those we portray by @laurie_schofield

and just like that first year (and our only year in Southend) is done!

so here's a few pics from the absolute wildest, busiest term where I did:
Living History
Twefth Night (for our Shakespeare module)
Voxy Vision (CP play)
You're Fine (CP short film)
Singing Assessment Show
Animal Studies (+ Zoo Trip!!)
Sports Day (supporting NOT competing)
Red Book
Many theatre trips
And so many more adventures

I couldn't be more thankful for my lovely Commie1s (soon to be 2s), missing yous already 💐 by @laurie_schofield

slice of life in camp

Had an absolutely fantastic time at Victory Show this year! It was an absolute pleasure to spend the weekend with Hang Tough, getting plenty of photos and of course, stirring the stew🥘🥄

If there's anything to take away from the weekend it has to be what an incredible community reenactment is and how lucky I am to have been welcomed into it. I made some fantastic friends, learned so much from so many incredibly knowledgeable people and ate some fantastic (campfire) food. Of course I have to mention how incredibly thankful I am to the Miss Drop lads and many others who rallied to help us when we needed it most, I dont know what we would have done without your quick thinking and teamwork. And I hope to see many of the same friendly faces at future events!

On to the next one, Stew Lady over and out! 🫡 taken in The Victory Show by @laurie_schofield
