Lachey Arts became a home to so many of us when the world was bleak and shut down. Lea and Drew opened up their doors and hearts to anyone who needed a place of calm and love. I was so immensely fortunate to have been included in this family and I will cherish it for the rest of my life. Thank you for giving me a space to create music and thank you for allowing me to witness incredible artistry through your work. Your love and generosity gave so many people hope for so many years. So I did a thing over the weekend!!!
In January my amazing daughters signed up for a 28K race called the RUT in Big Sky Montana and they encouraged me to sign up for the 11K.
So I did…while going through breast cancer treatment.
My sweet daughters knew that I would need a goal to regain my strength after two surgeries and radiation and they knew that racing up a mountain was exactly what I should do!!!
I can never thank them enough for reminding me that I can and will always be strong! The love and support that I received from my family lifted me up when I needed it the most.
Thank you to my dear friend Deb who made sure I was on the trails in Cincy at 9:00 am 5 days a week (she did her own RUT in Cincy the same day) and thank you to my trainer Catherine who would NEVER let me quit!
I am extremely fortunate that I am ok now. It has certainly been a journey of love, hope,promise and strength. It would have been very difficult without my loving village💕 by @lauriewy
