Like the unseen threads of a mycelium network below our feet, we seek connection, culminating in collective expansion 🕸️🍄

Looking forward to being back on Yorta Yorta Country this coming week for @strawberryfields_festival. I'll be curating the Murray 's Lounge Cinema, facilitating a place to recline, unwind & expand the mind. I'll also be contributing a new projection mapped art installation, with production assistance by @oldmatee788.

See you on the Murray 💦👽👾🛸

For this month's Triple Vision on @area3000.radio, we're joined by @rev__lon aka Gabriella Brown.

A Naarm-based DJ and graphic designer behind the ethereal @soft_edges and one half of the event and mix series @slowburn._ Gabriella's selections roll through deep, dubby & minimal tech, that scratches the brain in all the right ways. Recent outings include Berlin's Ikii, Lisbon's LISA and Brussels' Kiosk Radio, alongside local appearances at Hopkins Creek & Moniker Festivals.

Expect deep & dubby grooves, stripped-back rhythms and plenty of room to get lost in the details 🕳️🕳️🕳️

A glimpse behind the veil of Topia @tessellate.club next weekend at the @abbotsfordconvent Sat 10th Oct 👽🛸🌀

Over the past few months I’ve been working as the Visuals & Lighting Curator, collaborating alongside a talented group of artists and creators, shaping the visual world of the festival through light, projection, installation & atmosphere. Lots of ideas, experiments, problem solving, late nights and figuring things out together.

Excited to share the world we have created and guide you to the afterlife, as you step through the portal 🌀🌀🌀 by @lava.brain

Latest on @area3000.radio with guest mix from @al_xdp now up for playback.

Tuesday evening on @area3000.radio we invite Álvaro Fernandez aka XDP (@al_xdp) for a guest session on Triple Vision. The Madrid-based DJ is part of the @lacasapangea collective, who lean into exploring the psychedelic edges of underground electronic music, most recently hosting Naarm’s Sleep D, for a live set at the iconic Spanish club, Specka in May.

Álvaro's selections take us on an explorative trip, shifting moods, textures and rhythms, before guiding us back home safely to Earth, with no bad trips in sight 🫠

Lava Brain (he/they) is the creative project of Naarm (Melbourne)-based artist Eric Fenessy. Hiswork brings together sound, lighting, visuals & creative direction to create the conditions for self exploration, presence and connection.
Musically, his dubwise selections move through downtempo, dub, hypnotic techno and left field club music, balancing deep atmospheres with intricate percussion and hypnotic movement, giving you something for your body and your mind.

A community radio host since 2022, he presents Triple Vision on Area3000, a monthly broadcast featuring new release music from independent labels, alongside guest mixes from emerging and established artists exploring the psychedelic & subterranean edges of electronic music. He has also contributed live mixes to community stations dublab (LA) & Sutro FM (SF).

His selections have featured across local clubs, DIY spaces and festivals, with appearances in Tokyo, Barcelona and New York institution, Nowadays. As a producer, he has released music through Bristol imprint Dawn State, with new material due later this year. by @lava.brain
