This past weekend at @nightmareweekendraleigh , I had the honor to meet the Chiodo Brothers @chiodobros who created Killer Klowns From Outer Space, Critters and did some effects for classics like Robocop, UHF, Ernest Scared Stupid and much more!

Killer Klowns from Outer Space and Critters were the first horror movies I remember watching in my youth which made it a very special experience for me. They did a commentary during Killer Klowns and took some questions from the audience. #chiodobrothers #killerklownsfromouterspace #crittersmovie #80shorror taken in Raleigh, North Carolina by @lavalampvtg

I recently checked out what seems to be the only all music book store that exists @readbandbooks in Chapel Hill ! I found some great books about Bikini Kill, Wire, Electric Light Orchestra and Warren Zevon. It's a cool shop and definitely worth checking out! #readbandbooks #shoplocalnc #musicbooks #bikinikill #wireband taken in Chapel Hill, North Carolina by @lavalampvtg

There's nothing quite like the @thirstybeaversaloon in Charlotte! It feels straight out of a really cool movie scene. They've got a great jukebox with lots of classic country and rock hits plus lots of fun 70s /vintage decor. I love that the Saloon is surrounded by these high rise apartments but continues to feel like a small humble authentic hang spot. I walked in and they were playing "Your Cheatin" Heart " by Hank Williams and "Coal Miner's Daughter" by Loretta Lynn which made me feel like I was in the right place. #thirstybeaversaloon taken in The Thirsty Beaver Saloon by @lavalampvtg

Happy Point Break anniversary! It's been 35 summers ago since my favorite movie was released. This summer I celebrated by seeing it on the big screen. "It was never about money for us. It was about us against the system. That system that kills the human spirit!" -the immortal words of Patrick Swayze's character Bodhi. I loved the movie so much that I named my cat Bodhi (R.I.P.). There is an awesome Point Break mural at @burialdtr so check it out brah. #pointbreak taken in Burial Beer Co: The Exhibit by @lavalampvtg
