Let me introduce you to my biggest mural for The Last Hurrah 🤍 I want to thank Stass and all @thelasthurrahfuneral team for their huge support and trust, for being so kind with me all this time, and for letting me be myself in this huge canvas that I dreamt so much about, thank youuuu from the deepest of my heart! This may sound like a love story but I was in love with this wall for years till I decided to give the first step lol Everytime I passed by it I used to think: one day you are gonna be mine. We are just meant to be and I think we did It feels funny to feel so much love for a wall but I do, is like an extension of me, like if my hands will start to disappear and end up becoming this, a huge and pure expression of the sweet and melancholic parts of my heart. This mural is an ode to life and death as one, is dedicated to my auntie who passed away one year after I arrived into this land. One of the most painful lost I ever have felt in my entire life, one that still hurts my chest, but one that now has a beautiful image to go with it, so it became less painful and more radiant. I painted an orchid on her honour, cuz she used to love orchids. Those made her really happy as well as her garden. I painted her some native flowers and the cicle of the moon cuz she was a witch. My auntie was a strong woman who always taught me to be independent, to be strong, to fight, to paint, to love books, to dance, to sing, to laugh, always cooked yummy things that we used to enjoy while we talked about many things, I could tell her everything and she was always open to listening to me without judging me. My auntie was a second mum, it didn’t matter what day it was, I could just go to her house, knock her door and there she was, arms opened. This one is for you Zoraida, mi terrón de azucar, mi bombón de chocolate. Before she dies she always used to tell me that I should not worry, that I could find her in the flowers, and everywhere around me, I still wish to hug her again, so when I dream about her is the only thing I do. Oh there’s so many things to say about her, she was lots of fun ✨ but more than anything else she was home 🏠📸: @ejgfoto 💕 by @lavanesso
