My name is Shawnine LaVee Whitehead. I help women lock 🔐 in their unique style through accessories. My specialty is uniquely crafted original design pearl jewelry. Click link🔗 for more.

How it began…

As a young girl, not too many people knew about my creative passion for jewelry. I was incredibly shy and introverted. I stepped out on faith and began my journey of a jewelry artist.

Gratitude:

Sold out my very first collection.
First home show, set up at my parent’s. Invited all my friends. My best friend from Jr. High came down to help.

It had rained the day before, nervous if anyone would show.

To my surprise we had a full house, everyone left with something LaVee.
Thank you to my amazing parents, my supportive brothers and sister, entire family and loving friends.

The power of community is life changing. Because of the immense support from those beautiful women I am intentional about creating a beautiful space to uplift and support women.

I once modeled for a bridal shoot. Asked the Set Director if I could feature my own jewelry & accessories (flower birdcage veil).
That day I launch what is now LaVee Bridal.

Service:

As a Veteran of the United States Military I was selected to train and compete as a culinary artist.

A few weeks out of the year I took leave from my regular assignment to travel with a select advanced culinary team to compete in Military Culinary Art competitions. I trained and competed with culinary artist from all over the world.
This unique opportunity challenged my understanding of art and allowed me to grow as an artist.

Still thinking about a beautiful evening w/ friends ✨

We had the opportunity to attend Felicia Leatherwood’s Root Therapy book tour @felicialeatherwood , surrounded by beautiful views, BEAUTIFUL people and delicious wine at KeKoa Reserves Cellars @kekoareservecellars in Temecula Wine Country

Such rich discussions that centers us to be intentional about the words, energy, and hands we allow around our hair 🙌🏿💯
It’s a part of who we are, that receives too and we should give it nothing short of genuine love, patience, and appreciation.

2026 Taste of Soul was amazing🔥🔥🔥per usual!

We’re incredibly grateful to @sankofaforeverone for hosting and curating such a meaningful experience during Black History Month.

The turnout this year was HUGE with families, entrepreneurs, creatives, and community leaders all showing up with pride, support, and love. You could truly feel how much this space means to our community.🙌🏿

A special thank you to our sponsor @rastafribraid for helping us put smiles on so many faces. Being able to bless the community with bags and braiding hair was such a beautiful moment, those small touches make a big impact, especially when they’re given with intention.

Shout out to our partnering local business @laveecollection for joining us and representing Black-owned excellence. We love collaborating with brands that pour back into the community and share the same heart for connection and creativity.

And of course, @black_murrieta_ thank you for always showing up, supporting, and uplifting the community. Your consistency and presence never go unnoticed.

And what a year this has been. To be completely honest much of the year was a struggle for me. The most challenging was late this year, loosing both my childhood best friend, & mom, I think of them often.

- BLESSINGS: Blessed to have an amazing community of women, family & friends who surround me during some of the challenges and showering me with such love & warmth. My heart was filled with much comfort & joy. You all have blessed me in ways words can’t express. I continue a beautiful legacy living an abundant life and praising God through it all!

- NEW COLLECTIONS: creating & designing is my therapy, seriously… it has helped get me through.
My favorite collection up to date are both the LaVee stacking pearl necklace and the Textile Bangle collection. Stay tuned for styling & looks!
