A little spooky, a lot pretty. 💀🌸

I received this beautiful arrangement as a thoughtful thank-you gift. The gorgeous florals were arranged by @bysharpedesign and found the perfect Halloween home in one of my favourite vases. 🖤

Happy Halloween! 🎃 by @lavenderinteriorsnl

A little styling, a little texture, and a few thoughtful details.

Flower box views 🌸
These lovelies used to sit out on the veranda rails in past summers—but after too many rainstorms left them flattened, we decided to move them just outside the living room window. Now they’re sheltered, still soaking up the light, and best of all, they bring a soft pop of colour to the view from inside.

It’s a small design tip I love: treat your window views like part of the room. A well-placed flower box can add just as much to your interior as a cushion or piece of art. 🌿

Most of these are part- to full-shade lovers—with two full-sun bloomers that are showing off anyway. ☀️💪 by @lavenderinteriorsnl

There’s something lovely about passing through a room and catching sight of fresh flowers.🌿

Whether it’s a single vase, a collection of bud vases, or blooms taking centre stage on a tablescape, they bring life, colour, and beauty to a space.

Fresh flowers are one of the simplest ways to add warmth and personality to your decor, creating little moments of beauty that can be enjoyed throughout the day.

A few favourite floral moments of mine. 💙

A little glimpse of where we're headed💙

Blue is setting the stage for this transformation. This is just the beginning, but the vision is already taking shape as we bring together the tones, textures, and details that will define this beautiful space. More progress shots coming soon🏡

This small entryway was short on storage and ready for a refresh. I went floor to ceiling with walnut cabinetry to make room for coats, footwear, and all the little accessories that never seem to have a home.🧤🧣

To keep it feeling warm but still elevated, I paired crema marble with Oriental White in a classic checkerboard pattern.😍

Now it’s down to the final layer —
do we add a pop of colour with paint, and/or bring in a soft patterned wallpaper?
Harry has already given his approval. 🐾😉

Beauty begets beauty. ✨
The richness of a merlot peony, the timelessness of marble, and a reminder that the simplest details are often the most beautiful.

Same window box, two decorating moments.
Styled for Christmas, then sweetly finished off with a layer of snow ❄️
Sometimes winter does the final decorating for us.💙

Heritage Home — Living Room Update 💙

I started this moody blue paint colour in the dining room and loved it so much that I decided to carry it through to the adjacent living room — it just made sense.
The caramel leather sofa will bring warmth, and the rug will tie it all together — same pattern family as the dining room, just flipped with the blues taking the lead this time. A lacquered blue cement side table adds a bit of fun, and the mix of vintage, midcentury, and modern pieces will bring a nice balance once everything comes together.
A few finishing touches to go, but the vision is taking shape beautifully.

Feeling overwhelmed at the paint shop? You’re not alone! 🎨
With so many beautiful options, choosing the right colour for your space can feel like a big decision—but a little prep goes a long way.

Here’s how I narrow things down:

✨ Start with a vision.
Before you even step into the store, try to have 2–3 colour directions in mind. Then, explore a few tones of each.

🎨 Create a colour grid.
Grab some paint chips and lay them out side-by-side. You’ll quickly see which ones you’re drawn to—and which to eliminate.

🖌️ Sample smart.
Once you’ve narrowed it down, it’s time to DIY some oversized paint chips. Purchase a few liquid paint samplers, small rollers, paint tray and a couple sheets of bristol board (cut into quarters). Don’t skip stirring your samples—it matters and paint right to the edge—no borders!

💡 Test one at a time.
Tape a sample to the wall (using painter’s tape) and view it in both natural light and shade — this step is key.

This simple process helps bring clarity and confidence to your choice.
If you’re stuck or just want a second opinion—I’m always happy to help. 💬
