We are thrilled to announce that @carlawaslike has officially joined the Lavender Public Relations team! We’ve admired Carla’s groundbreaking work at One World from afar and are over the moon to have her talent on our team. Carla will start in June and is currently taking on projects for Fall 2025 and beyond. Welcome Carla! 💫🪻 by @lavenderpublicrelations
Happy Pub Day to … Lavender Public Relations! I still can’t believe that what began as a joke in a hot tub while reading Cleat Cute next to the inimitable @brittani.hilles has become a reality!! So excited to keep doing the thing I love the most: working with and for and beside authors. Photography courtesy of my other Valentine Galentine @rebeccanessart by @lavenderpublicrelations
I’ve been mostly quiet for the last year as I rethought my career - how the person I want to be and the work I want to create fits into the world. Not shocking to most of you, but I couldn’t stay away from books and how deeply I care about helping authors share their stories. What began as an idea last summer and a logo made on Canva has grown into a journey that is both terrifying and thrilling! I’m very proud to introduce @lavenderpublicrelations . So many people to thank but first of all the authors and organizations that trusted me to take care of their vision and stories! You all are brilliant. Thank you to @apossanza who pitched me the idea of working together and was right! It’s been the most fun working with you. Thank you to my entire support network (too many to name here!) for the leads, cheers, and many voice notes. Most of all, thank you to my partner @meghangalewski for pushing me to do what makes me happy and supporting me at every wild leap. I can’t wait to officially introduce you all to the amazing talent we have and so much more to come for Lavender!!! by @lavenderpublicrelations
Excerpts from Phantoms are out now! 🎉 Two chapters, “Instant Karma,” set on the Lower East Side, and “Carbon-14,” set in Colombia, appear in the Fall 2026 issue of @commonmag, The Common:A Modern Sense of Place. I'm so happy to see them there. My memoir, Phantoms, comes out November 30 from @artepublico. Not everyone can be in Carrie, someone has to hold it down in Friendship, Texas 😉🔥 What a Nightmare by @rffaubion “Haven Powers finds herself on a path to revenge. She’ll show them what happens when the girl they called too much, too loud, too everything, finally lets her demons loose. They called her a nightmare, so she became one.“ #whatanightmare #rebekahfaubion #berkleypub #lavenderpublicrelations #dancingonmyown by @lavenderpublicrelations

I had a spook-tacular time at Lavender PR’s Bookish Halloween Party! It was such a treat to celebrate What a Nightmare and Call Off the Dark with bookish friends. 🚨October pod is here! 🎧 This month, @lindsaylewislit and I are joined by @hallie.shepherd, who has worked in the film industry as a screenwriter, producer, and actress, all the while knowing she would eventually return to her first love: novels. Her debut, Call Off the Dark, published by @williammorrowbooks last month, is a true genre blend, with atmospheric thriller, love story, and psychological drama elements. After telling us about the book and the art of meting out twists, Hallie shares two writing tips—first, her system for temporarily turning off her writer brain and just enjoying the book she’s reading, and second, something drawn straight from her screenwriting toolkit. Get the episode at the link in my (Ted's) bio or wherever you listen. by @lavenderpublicrelations
