Today I turn 26, and my heart feels full in ways I’m still learning how to name.

I’m overwhelmed when I think about how God found me worthy of saving. How He devoted His life, His death, and His resurrection to pursue me—all before I could even choose Him once.

Year 25 stretched me and had me crying tears I didn't even know I had in me. God met me there—descending like fire—not just to prune me, but to purify me. He dug out faulty pieces of my heart and made room for a heart of flesh.

And five years ago today? I still remember...I remember willingly making an unwise and loose decision that could have ended my life. But Jesus had a different story in mind. In His mercy, He stepped in and saved me—once again. Life had only just begun.

And five years later, here I am, stepping into 26, living a story of redemption as it unfolds in real time.

I'm grateful for the grace to know Him, the strength to serve Him, and the heart to love Him all over again. He IS a great God, and I can testify that He is great at what He does. I certainly am amazed.

When it felt like I lost everything, my soul found it all. Though it can never be enough, I still thank You, Jesus, for a new year. I receive 26 with gladness 🤍

"But as for me, I know that MY Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last" - Job 19:25

"I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, desolate, bereaved, forlorn, helpless]; I will come [back] to you." - John 14:18

A Psalms 27:13 soirée. ♥️

Oh to have stepped back in the building where I was once lost, fearful, and depressed at 13 to now celebrate 25 years of life in light, hope, and love...truly I would've lost heart unless I believed I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

If what they said back then was true and I really wasn't good enough [for them], I was more than enough for the Lord.

I am amazed at how faithful He's been through the years even when I didn't recognize Him or when I took His mercy for granted. Every time I threw in the towel, He picked it up and upheld me. Thank You, Abba, for keeping me when I needed keeping.

My heart rejoices from the love of God displayed in honor of my 25th birthday. Thank you to every planner, every vendor, every guest—for making this night memorable for all. I remain in awe of His goodness. Grateful is truly an understatement.

Twenty Fine of my shades and counting...🤍
See you at the next one 💃🏾
