8 months of La Vida Verde 🌿

When we first started, we showed up with a red canopy, brown tablecloths, no signage, and honestly no real plan. We just knew we wanted to sell plants and took the chance.

Each market taught us something. How to set up with intention, how to present our plants, how to connect with people, and how to come prepared. Little by little, things started to come together.

Now when we look at our setups, we see the growth. Not just in how everything looks, but in how we show up.

Thank you to everyone who has supported La Vida Verde at pop ups and markets, bought a plant, or even just stopped by our booth. It all matters 🤍

We’re still learning🌱

Which setup has been your favorite so far?

African Violet Care Guide 🌿💜

Light ☀️
Place in bright, indirect light. A north or east window works best. Avoid direct sun, it can burn the leaves.

Water 💧
Water when the top inch of soil feels dry.
They prefer bottom watering to keep their leaves dry and healthy 💜
Place the pot in a shallow dish of water for 20 to 30 minutes, then let it drain.

Top watering is okay, but be careful. Water directly at the soil and avoid getting the leaves or crown wet.

Soil 🪴
Use a light, well draining mix. African violet soil or a mix with potting soil and perlite works well.

Humidity 🌫️
They like moderate humidity. Keep them away from vents and dry air.

Temperature 🌡️
Keep between 65–75°F. Avoid sudden temperature changes.

Feeding 🌱
Feed every 2–4 weeks with a balanced fertilizer during growing season.

Extra tip ✨
Remove dead flowers and leaves to keep blooms coming.

Save this for later and come find your next plant baby at our next event 💚

🌿 English Ivy — Why It’s Great Indoors (Especially Bathrooms!) 🌿

English Ivy is more than just a pretty trailing plant, it’s functional, adaptable, and thrives where many plants struggle.

🌬️ Supports Cleaner Indoor Air

English Ivy is known for helping reduce airborne particles like dust and mold spores in enclosed spaces. While not a replacement for ventilation, it can support overall indoor air quality, great for bathrooms and bedrooms.

🚿 Loves Humidity

Bathrooms naturally provide the moisture English Ivy enjoys. Higher humidity keeps leaves lush, prevents crispy edges, and mimics its natural growing conditions.

🍃 Helpful in Moist Spaces

English Ivy tolerates damp environments well and can help manage excess moisture when paired with proper airflow making it a smart addition to bathrooms where mold tends to appear.

🌱 Low-Light Friendly

It adapts well to bright indirect or lower light, making it ideal for bathrooms with small or frosted windows.

🪴 Perfect for Small Spaces

Its trailing growth makes it great for shelves, hanging baskets, and cabinets adding greenery without taking up space.

😌 Creates a Calming Feel

Greenery like English Ivy helps create a relaxed, spa-like environment and can improve mood.

Quick Care:
Light: Bright indirect–low | Water: When top inch dries | Humidity: Loves it

⚠️ Pet note: Toxic to cats & dogs if ingested in large amounts, keep out of reach 🐾
