Create & Cultivate recap because yes, the girls were outside! Last weekend, I attended this Festival for the first time, and despite the discourse online about what went wrong. I can honestly say there were also so many things that went beautifully right. For me, I walked away with community, new friendships, and words of encouragement. I was surrounded by women who reminded me how powerful it feels to be in rooms where ambition does not need to be explained or watered down. And as someone with a 9-5 and a business on the side, being in that room felt necessary. I also got to hear from so many phenomenal speakers, including Emma Grede, Tiffany Aliche, Halle Berry, Elaine Welteroth, Arlan Hamilton, Olandria, And more women who reminded us that becoming successful in business takes way more risks, resilience, and reinvention than a 60 sec reel ever shows. So yes, the festival had its flaws. One thing I’m realizing about being a multi-passionate girlie with a 9–5, a business, a personal brand, hobbies, relationships, side quests, and a whole life I want to live? I don’t necessarily have too much going on, BUT too much of what I have going on requires me to keep figuring it out from scratch. And THAT is what I’m changing before Q4. If I’m going to keep launching, creating content, and showing up across multiple platforms, I need repeatable systems. So September is less about adding more goals and more about making what I already do easier to repeat. I’m tightening my launch process, setting up batch content days, building a repurposing system, exploring AI + automation, and testing new ways to get my work in front of more people. Then I’m closing out the month with my Dream Life Reset Weekend to look at the whole girl… career, business, relationships, health, fun, rest, side quests, alladat — before deciding what Q4 actually has room for. Because I’m still a Spandex-Snapped CEO in progress: the girl whose business works as long as she keeps stretching to make it fit. And I’m learning the answer isn’t always finding more time. Before dating this man, I was very much a “you can have whatever time I have left” kind of girl. And between my 9-5, my business, and my never-ending to-do list… sometimes “what I had left” was giving crumbs. Then I met someone who runs a TIGHT ship. If I say I’m getting up at 5 or 6 AM to work, he’s making sure I’m UP. If I say I’m getting off early, he calls to make sure I closed up shop! And trust me, this is still a work in progress… ’Cause sometimes my hard stop is definitely hearing his keys jingling at the door and slamming my laptop shut. But I’ve gotten much more intentional about letting my weekdays carry the weight of my work so my weekends can actually look like… date nights, hanging with my girls, brunch, family time, random plans, or doing absolutely nothing without feeling like I should be working. And guess what?! That’s all part of building a brand that FITs your REAL life. Because balance isn’t just figuring out where the business fits on your calendar. It’s making sure the business leaves room for everything else you said you wanted your life to include. Your 9–5 gets time. Your business gets time. I absolutely love being a corporate baddie, a brand strategist, systems girlie, the YouTube newbie, and the one who will absolutely pick up another side quest because… I can! And in between alladat, I still want to travel, take care of myself, spend time with the people I love, romanticize my dream life, try new hobbies, and occasionally do absolutely nothing because I am, in fact, human. For a long time, I thought getting my life “together” meant I needed to tone some of that down. Maybe choose the important things, pick ONE lane, and package myself into one neat little identity that everybody could easily understand. Yeah girl... No. ‘Cause the more I tried to make myself easier to explain, the less I actually felt like… myself. So now? I'm leaning alllll the way in. I want the career and the business. I want strategy and creativity. I want ambition and a soft life. I want the serious goals, the random hobbies, the side quests, the cute trips, and whatever else Future Me decides she has no business getting into. I'm not interested in becoming less multi-anything. I'm actually trying to see just how multi-everything I can get… without running myself into the ground. Lol. Sis… the business was supposed to fit into the big life you’re building, not become your WHOLE life! But I think as multi-passionate women, we’re sometimes a little too quick to assume we’re the problem when the business starts feeling like too much. Maybe I need to niche down. Maybe I need to focus on fewer things. Maybe I need to be more consistent. Maybe I need more hours. Meanwhile, nobody has stopped to ask whether the way the business is built actually makes sense for a girl with a 9–5, multiple passions, relationships, hobbies, side quests, rest, travel, and whatever new interest catches her attention. Because yes, building a business around your actual life requires choices, but those choices shouldn’t always require making yourself smaller. Sometimes your ideas need clearer roles. Sometimes all the different sides of you need a stronger thread connecting them. Sometimes your systems need to stop budgeting hours you simply do not have. And sometimes? The business just needs to change!!! You didn’t build a business just to have another thing running your life. You built it to support a life you actually want to live.
