Becoming Mom 🤍

I always loved their little feet,
The way small arms would stretch and meet
Around my neck in purest trust
That sacred bond, that gentle hush.
 I wore the name Auntie proud and wide, Content to love from just outside.
I held their hands, I dried their tears, I dreamed of someday, in future years.
 But when two lines turned dark and true, My heart whispered, is now too soon?
They’d all be thrilled, I already knew, But part of me wished I had more room.
A little more time to work on me,
Before I became a mother-to-be.

Time kept moving, soft and wide, With tiny flutters growing inside. Each heartbeat slowly carved a space, For love to bloom, for doubt to erase.

And then… the moment.
The world stood still. I felt God whisper:
You were made for this, my dear!

With Luke’s hand steady, holding tight, I met the soul who gave me light.
Every breath, each laugh, each cry, Is more than joy, it sanctifies.

Lennon Kay Wagner blew in like the 60 mph winds that hit Nola! Sharing the same birthday as her great-grandmother Kay. If there’s a competition for the most loved baby in the world, @lawaggg and I would like to put our names in for the running. What a precious blessing from God!

Ladies, choose your partners wisely. You never know when you’ll be 40 weeks pregnant and spiraling because you didn’t take maternity photos (among a million other things). 😅
