Late post but thank you so much, @megamagazine , for featuring me as One to Watch for September 2024, the biggest issue month for fashion magazines 🥲. We’re not just in one but five magazines, across six pages. We had less than a month to prepare the samples for the collection, but it was fun. I’m in Vogue yay! 🎉 Very honoured to be one of the creatives to be featured in @voguephilippines September 2025 ‘The Anniversary Issue’. I know I’m just getting started, but it’s really an honour to feel seen. I remember as a kid doing music and being that weird Filipino art kid growing up in Japan, always feeling alienated. Then moving to Italy, I felt the same while working in European brands — having to prove myself harder to be taken seriously. I’ve always been ambitious, but I believe in Sartre’s philosophy that we are born with no purpose, we create our own. And I already had a vision of who I wanted to be since I was a kid. Returning to the Philippines, I felt that same distance until I found the art scene. For a long time, I feared people would never understand me. Then I realised, I just need to be myself, create, and let go. The right people will find me. Creativity means wrestling with insecurities and dark truths. That’s the beauty and curse of being creative — we are complex beings. What happened on November 15? LWRNBRT opened its world for one day. L’APERITIVO — or `the happy hour’ in English — is a convergence of fashion, taste, sound, and the people who shape our world. A private gathering for those who understand what we stand for: rebellion through craft, beauty through precision, and for those who were meant to witness it. L’APERITIVO is the ultimate aperitivo experience — an initiation, an invitation to step into our universe. LWRNBRT began not as a brand, but as a movement born from frustration with everything that tried to define what creation should be. From that rebellion came discipline, chaos, and craft. Our first L’APERITIVO was an immersion into FW25 L’Enfant Étoile. The evolution of the Star Child from Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey served as our primary metaphor — one of several — for exploring Filipino identity, a journey that is never linear. Together with Rocket Sets, known for their larger-than-life installations, we conceived a space that reimagined the Star Child as a monumental LWRNBRT leather jacket. Tuscan wines from Florence, Italy, cocktails, Italian-inspired canapés, and rock remixes charged the night into a sensory fever dream — raw, visceral, and entirely our own: the kind of beauty and rebellion we live for. taken in Makati City, Manila, Philippines by @lawrenbert
