P.S. the outtakes were the best, Jerry killed it. by @lawrence_nbfx

One of my favorite parts of period makeup design is telling stories across time! 🎨✨

On NCIS: Origins, we toggle between 1992–1993 and 2026, creating the challenge of aging characters as naturally and subtly as possible while keeping them recognizable.

For Episode 2, we transformed the iconic @bibbymoynihan into 83-year-old Woody using stock pieces from Steve Prouty (@fusionfxshop) and @outofkit! Using wrinkle stipple to create texture, subtle paintwork, age spots, and beautifully delicate pieces, we brought his transformation to life within television’s fast-paced and demanding production schedule. 💄🎬

It’s a true collaboration of design, preparation, incredible artistry, and coordination with our talented hair department. This kind of teamwork is exactly why I love what I do! ❤️

Huge shoutout to our showrunner @davyjnorth for trusting our team and always being our BIGGEST cheerleader! 😭❤️

And as for Gibbs’ next chapter… let’s just say a familiar face is making a comeback! 👀 Don’t miss Episode 3 this Tuesday on CBS!

BAD THOUGHTS, SEASON 2.

Last minute fat face make-up application on @seguratom done along with @lawrence_nbfx.

Because it was last minute there was no time for a custom prosthetic. This is a generic appliance provided by @dyadmufx.

Thanks again to @ryankeithward for bringing me on to this super fun show.

“The Isolate Thief”(2026)
“Perry” played by the great @realjoeypants

“Needs to be the dirtiest guy on screen, with teeth that look like you wouldn’t want to be too close when he’s talking” -were the notes from John our director for this particular makeup.

Coupled with a collaboration between me and Joey on the phone days before he was set to join our already movie train of a shoot. All these ideas culminated into a makeup that was a blast to apply and to see come to life once Joey hit set.
I made customs teeth literally the day he landed to be ready to shoot the next day. What a ride.

Thank you to @realjoeypants for trusting me and being a champ and down for bringing Perry to life.

Prosthetics and custom teeth done by myself.
All the paints used were @alliedfxco

“Wait… was that a real frozen dead body?” 🧊

That’s one of the biggest compliments our Makeup SFX team can literally receive!!

For this very sad frozen victim on Season 2 of NCIS: Origins, the process started long before cameras rolled. With the tight turnaround of network TV, we did a makeup and lighting test to ensure the paint scheme/tones, frost textures, and iridescent detail I wanted would read correctly under the exact lighting planned for the crime scene.

From underpainting to multi-sized ice application, Hair, Costume, Stunts, SFX, Camera, and Director, every department played a role in selling this horrible illusion.

The challenge didn’t stop there. This makeup had to evolve through multiple stages of the story. First, Michelle appeared frozen solid at the crime scene. Later, in the morgue, the medical examiner began thawing the body, and we had to preserve the makeup through hours of water effects while maintaining all of the frozen trauma details. One of my favorite moments was revealing the broken capillaries in her eyes during the examination.

By the end of the episode, she was fully thawed on the morgue table with a full Y-incision w/ lividity settling, marking the final stage of her transformation. One victim, multiple looks/ timelines, and a crazy amount of collaboration/ talent between departments to track every detail from beginning to end.

What audiences see as one frozen victim on screen was the result of an entire village. Makeup, Hair, Costume, Stunts, SFX, Camera, Directing, and a patient stunt performer willing to spend hours covered in ice, water, full airbrush paint and prosthetics by @autonomousfx2005 to help tell the story.

Featuring the amazing @___michellelee ✨❄️

STAGE 1 from my “Injury and Trauma” class I did at @frendsbeauty

All Prosthetics were generously provide by @outofkit
Their product is great to have on had in the trailer or in your kit on set.
They are easy and fast to apply, blend off and paint. Either in the trailer where you can take your time OR on set when the director asked for something last minute and the AD is watching over your shoulder and looking at their watch asking “how much time left”?

All paints were provided by @ebaperformancemakeup
I specifically used their Autopsy Injury,Blood and Autopsy palettes and the EVO Undead cream palette around the eyes.

(Everything I used and mentioned can be bought at @frendsbeauty online or in store)

A huge thank you to @chrissytoocool @frendsbeautypro for asking me to do this class. I genuinely had a blast teaching and thank you to the students/colleges who were so attentive and into the class.

And thank you to my always great and patient model @emma.siate

Look out for STAGE 2 coming soon….

We were incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to apply these amazing injury prosthetics designed and created by Howard Berger (@hoops511 ) and KNB (@knb_efx ) on the one and only @max_burkholder for Episode 6 of Ted Season 2.

This episode is wild—just like the rest of Season 2—and features an amazing cast and crew.

Big thanks to @lawrence_nbfx and @tarnovetska for applying these pieces alongside @kcmussman, @jen_ash_ and @mischafruge on Team Max

11.11.25 is the date that I got to marry my best friend. She is a rare 1 of 1, there’s nobody like her, or anyone that will ever be like her.
She makes me the man I am and honestly a better person.

These photos are proof of how amazing she is. She’s stunning, smart and insanely talented on so many levels.
Chloe put this wedding together with our incredible wedding planner @geradfloydevents for almost 2 years.
I helped where I could, mainly saying yes and staying out of the way.
I’m only saying this because, she deserves the accolades of making this beautiful day happen. The weekend building up to our day, took an army of friends that flew and drove in to help. We love all of you so much. Thank you for making g our day magical.
But, to @beauty_efx , my wife! I love YOU the most.

Also, I was super proud of this idea..
I added photos to my custom jacket liner made by my awesome buddy @marissa_soto_official , who also altered all of the groomsmen’s suits.

The liner is every single text screen shot of “11:11” that Chloe and I have sent each other over the years that we’ve been together, including our orange boys and rabbit since they couldn’t attend our wedding. With the added “Cero Meido” (a saying of my favorite chador @penta_zero_miedo )
Chloe was speechless when she saw it all on the day.

Here’s some photo stills of a second stage deep one inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s novella “The Shadow over Innsmouth”

This prosthetic makeup was demoed for the last round of @iatselocal706 upgrade training this past October. Thank you so much @rbfx for the gorgeous foam latex prosthetics, it made our demo film quality! I cannot express enough how fantastic Roland’s foam is. If you need pieces that blend beautifully and apply flawlessly RBFX is the way to go, thank you again!

@jan.redondo absolutely sold this character, you brought this one to life expertly! This was the first time doing a full on prosthetics class and it was a success thanks to all of the artists who participated. And to all of the incredible artists who came to teach the class with me, I could not have done it without all of you @shelbymichael_mua @thekendiaz @lawrence_nbfx @danmakesstuff @beauty_efx
