In the past two weeks, a total of 4 vet visits, 1-24hr emergency vet, 2 catheters and 2 surgical procedures. But now we’re finally home and he’s resting. I don’t understand how a dog so unwell can still look so photogenic. Drove down to the Philly office only to bomb right back to NYC cause Ollie needed to be rushed in for a medical procedure. I really can’t say enough good things about @smalldoorvet and how much trust and faith I have in their staff and teams. Cleaning out my car and I found my uncle Jimmie’s funeral pamphlet from the other week. To be an Asian man graduating MIT in the 1950’s was a feat in itself but then to have a hunger for education and long career as a lead principal aerospace engineer for close to 60 years is extremely inspiring. I remember when I was in high school and deciding to pursue Industrial Design at Pratt Institute, he told me to not do that and instead go to school for mechanical or aerospace engineering. Little did I know, I would spend a large majority of my professional career for almost 2 decades working exactly in defense and aerospace engineering. Maybe that man knew something I didn’t know, of which he definitely knew everything more than me. Here’s to you uncle Jimmie. Paving the way for our immigrant family and everyone becoming engineers. #nyc #brooklyn #newyork by @lawrenceaudesign

Those who know me well, know that I am an unapologetically proud American patriot. It pains me when I see people on both sides vilify entire groups. Summer Sundays are for brunch with Mike @higginsnyc and Dru @dru_h gifting Ollie a driving scarf that I realized he still had on when we got home. He looks so damn proud of it. Every now and then I am reminded that we live in the best city on earth. Woke up early, drove two hours to the Philly office for the day to meet team members and two hours back. Parked the car…went home, then immediately got a text from Agata @coyotebody to meet her in LES in 30min cause she got tickets for a show and she knows I love country music. I’ll be listening to these two artists on loop for the next few weeks. I received a wonderful life update and check-in email from Matthew Burger and his partner Ines from Switzerland with this image. Me and Matthew met over 20 years ago when I was a young kid and he was the Dept Chair of Industrial Design at Pratt. Thank you for believing in me when I was young and our many conversations where I needed your advice. It’s crazy how fast time moves and we go from students to middle aged and leadership roles.
