this pulled an all nighter out of me and goddam it felt good
liberation to go back to cell shading after all my previous pieces were reaching hyper realism, i dont like realism or any kind of reality
i also felt like reaching high realism only made my artworks feel ai or like i wanted to perform something,
remember folks drawing must remain fun and imperfect, throw them expectations to the ground!!!!!!!

shiny ☄️

i love a rich and somber blue, and a blinding bright silver.
gradient was a struggle avoiding all the chain links, posca pens did great here,
i must specify this has nothing to do with Kurapika somehow

DOUBLE POST! two lovers! one can't exist without the other, though they're so very different yes.
did this one right after the previous part, coming from the same paper sketch,
i think i prefer working on cool tones, cause first it's cool B), then the greys get involved more and i love figuring out how greys work. can be a really different color from one place to another in the drawing
don't mind me using the color pick tho
i still hate values

papapaawww ‼️‼️‼️

it's been a long time Valentin didn't make an appearance, attention seekers always find a way...
this is a rendered version of a paper sketch i did like a year ago (in duo with the next post GO CHECK!!) and i still weirdly like the vibe.
like cunty crop top bruises and ready to blow the place down
only thing i would change is to put a little detonation effect-thing for more movement in the image
also i hate values again

i dont know this one's not my best but THE NEXT?! prepare.

the exit is unknown
the exit is always talked about
everything important has happened out the exit
she knows she needs to step out here
she knows it'll hurt
it's always one way, or the other

Ari!! ma girl!! i'm so so proud of this! it's a redraw of this piece of 2020 and i can't tell how MUCH i improved! obviously 6 years does something, but this is so different and better?!?! im shooked
actually i started the redraw one year ago but never picked it up cause i wasn't sure how to go with it, i had a great base starting again, just a few proportions changes and a lot of light everywhere and it was as perfect as it could be!
also very productive lately i can't complain 💙

hey THATS what i call a rabbit hole!! maybe two?
im glad i did what i said and turned that wip into something! i searched what i was looking for and didnt fear to try again- even weeks later
i could say the character is involuntarily referencing Journey, but that was the most easy feel for this

aftercare 💎

so Haru has these kinds of superpowers right.
he turns really really angry, takes a while to just transform into this icy creature whose only will is to kill everything that needs to die.
then he crashes somewhere he knows he will absorb the Sun and the Moon and the air at its purest, high up the mountains of his land.
there he just melts, renewing the heat of his heart as the frost of the pain slowly spills away

and big baby did all that by himself ⭐

-

7 hours did that in a rush but i loved every part of it!
also that went from a shitty cloud doodle that wasnt even planned, keep drawing guys
it's worth the risk :)
