To the one who made me mommy, a lot of learning has taken place since that first picture and LOTS of growing up!! Palmer loves to draw, talk, wrestle with his brother, cuddle with his mommy, play chase and throw the ball with dad, pretend to drive in cars, read new books, dance to some good music, and play with friends! I couldn’t imagine having a sweeter boy, and I’m constantly reminded how big of a blessing he is to me. If you know Palmer you know how kindness radiates through him as he seeks to include everyone including waving to strangers (we’re working on that). Happy birthday to my big three year old! A full week of endless “mommy! Mommy mommy mommy”, my bones are weary, my mind is weak, my tongue is sharp. And yet, in Gods divine mercy and goodness he allows me to have endless “mommy I love you so much”, “I forgive you mommy” “mommy you’re my best friend” “I want mommy to rock me”. I’m undeserving of this title, and many times so guilt-ridden by what I’ve fallen short at, that I question why I was even blessed with it to begin with. But every time I question, I’m just engulfed in a whisper that says “because I am stronger than you, because I wanted them to have you as their mom, because I will equip you and be your daily bread.” Everyday is not easy, but everyday is another day I can choose to be sanctified by this Holy calling it is to be mommy to my two favorite people in the world. 💕 by @lay10_thomp

Probably the best Halloween we’ve had yet! To have a village is something I’ve prayed over pretty much my whole life. To say I was terrified to leave ours we were so graciously gifted in TX is an understatement. I truly didn’t think we’d come by it twice, but God, here they are. Here’s a little bit of our village. I’ve dreamt of raising Babies alongside friends and here we are. All Palmer kept saying on the way home was “had fun with friends! I love friends!” Happy Halloween 🦇👻🧡 by @lay10_thomp
