Dans certains parcours artistiques, la musique n’est pas simplement un élément qui accompagne l’image : elle devient le langage secret qui lui donne sa vie intérieure. C’est dans cet espace délicat que travaille Layal Watfeh, là où la note se transforme en forme de narration et où la musique devient un instrument pour comprendre l’univers dramatique plutôt qu’un simple décor sonore.

Layal Watfeh appartient à une catégorie rare dans la dramaturgie arabe : celle des compositeurs de musique à l’image. Ces créateurs écrivent l’atmosphère émotionnelle d’une œuvre avant même que le spectateur n’en prenne pleinement conscience. Dans cette approche, la musique n’est pas un ornement posé sur la scène. Elle constitue une architecture sensible qui organise le rythme du récit et accompagne le mouvement intérieur des personnages.

Ce qui distingue particulièrement son écriture musicale est sa manière de traiter la mélodie comme un pont entre la mémoire et la dramaturgie. Dans plusieurs œuvres auxquelles elle a contribué, la musique semble connaître les personnages de l’intérieur. Elle ne décrit pas simplement ce qui se passe à l’écran ; elle révèle une couche plus profonde des émotions qui traversent l’histoire. La musique devient alors un espace de respiration dans la narration.

Entre sensibilité mélodique orientale et architecture orchestrale contemporaine, Layal Watfeh développe une langue sonore capable de circuler entre différentes cultures. Sa musique reste fidèle à la chaleur expressive de ses racines tout en s’ouvrant à un horizon plus universel.

Dans l’univers de la fiction, le public retient souvent les scènes et les visages. Pourtant, la mémoire émotionnelle demeure dans la musique. C’est là que réside la singularité de son travail : transformer le son en une écriture invisible du récit.

Ainsi, dans cette distance fragile entre le silence et la note, la musique devient un récit intérieur. Elle ne se contente pas d’accompagner l’image ; elle lui offre son souffle, sa profondeur et sa mémoire.
