Another warm, soft portrait of Yahshi (@yahshimabet) at the garden. I really enjoy the colors of this image and the splotchy lighting. Feels serene by @layeelah

Some nature shots from my favorite garden!

I realized a few days ago that it’s been 10 years since I began having photoshoots here. Granted, I did take a bit of a hiatus from portraits within that 10 year span, so it’s only been about 6 😂

I forgot how much I love it here. All of the sounds. The separation from the busyness of Oakland. Every time I go, I notice different creatures. Plus, it was fun editing these! So grateful 🙏🏾💓 taken in The Gardens at Lake Merritt by @layeelah

Earlier this year I had the pleasure of documenting @hueman_ ‘s very distinct style and process of creation.

Documenting visual artists is not something I get to do often, but when I have the opportunity to, it deepens my level of appreciation of the various talents we all have been blessed with. I believe artists of all kinds should be captured in beautiful, creative ways considering the beautiful and creative work they produce 💫 by @layeelah
