Meet @tiz.alocci, one of our Layla members.

Tiziana is a research-led data artist, whose work moves between art, information design, sound and technology.

What we love about her practice is the way she takes complex or often invisible systems and makes them feel tangible, human and emotionally legible.

She has been part of Layla from early on, and we’ve been lucky to see her contribute as both an artist and a thoughtful voice in the room.

We’re very happy to have her as part of the community.

Her first book, Absent Data, published by Wiley is available for pre order from today. by @layla_data

Couldn’t have asked for warmer hosts than Rob and Nick Carter.

More than 25 years into working together, their practice is still curious, playful and constantly evolving, from CGI and robotics to AI and their extraordinary Transforming works.

Such a special evening, and such lovely people to spend it with.

We’ll explore Transforming, their newest moving paintings, where historic masterpieces are reimagined through human-guided AI used as a digital brush and hear directly from the artists about the ideas and processes behind the work.

Our latest salon, Layla 004.

Through @bencullenwilliams’ film Self-Portrait, we explored image-making between human and machine, and considered what a self-portrait of an AI might look like.

Layla 004: AI, identity and the self-portrait

@bencullenwilliams joins us in an intimate gallery setting to discuss his project created with Google DeepMind Research Scientist Jason Baldridge and Google Arts & Culture Lab.

Together, they’ll explore how generative AI is reshaping questions of identity, authorship and expression through one of art history’s most enduring forms: the self-portrait.

We’re stepping into the studio of digital artist @dominicharrisartist for an intimate evening of art, technology and conversation.

Private studio tour + a short provocation from Dominic on making work in the age of AI, with contributions from Effie Kilmer (Microsoft) and Nico Ward (Healf).

Layla is a small, curated and off-the-record salon - a room where artists, researchers and senior builders can think out loud together.
