Big catch!
These two fish were created using recycled signs, palm leaves, and loquat leaves 🍃

Thank you @sariverfoundation for support and community space!
Thank you to all the friends and family who came out to support. @justinuuood for the late nights, wild ideas and your patience! Thank you @excelsiorprintingco for recycled materials helping make these fish more sustainable! @hanfei3770 for literally catching the same fish at the event!?! Thank you to all that have followed along from my story post! ♥️

When I proposed this project last winter, I was struggling with significant burnout from my previous position. I needed a reminder that my value extended beyond an institution, that I could create something meaningful through my own vision and effort. The countless hours spent building these fish became a form of healing, helping me reconnect with creativity, confidence, and joy.
I will always be grateful that this project came into my life when it did. It arrived at exactly the right moment, and I could not have completed it without the support, encouragement, and generosity of my friends and family along the way. by @laynilangham

@justinuuood & I have been hard at botanical work! Collecting material for my upcoming sculpture, tending our garden and going on a little field trip with SACXS and @hanfei3770 where we got to see Echinocereus reichenbachii, Pearl Milkweed Vine Matelea reticulata, and Antelope-horns Milkweed Asclepias asperula along with many other plants. taken in San Antonio, Texas by @laynilangham

As a certified river rat I’m happy to announce my partnership with @sariverfoundation and my upcoming viewing June 13-15 at Confluence Park! I’m extremely excited to have the opportunity to bring together so many of my passions to create larger than life Guadalupe Bass sculptures made of repurpose materials and preserved flora.
My passion and mission have always been to inspire people through plants and art, encouraging them to see the world around them in a new way. I hope to spark a deeper sense of wonder, connection, and stewardship for the natural world, especially our rivers and streams, but ultimately all living landscapes and ecosystems. 🦆🌿🌸🐟🌳

ON VIEW: June 13-15 Confluence Park
Inspired by the rivers flora and fauna in partnership with @sariverfoundation I’ve given form to whimsical large scale Guadeloupe Bass. Created from recycled materials and preserved plants found around the river and the city. This ephemeral sculpture is meant to inspire a sense of wonder, providing a new perspective on plants that surround us, fish that fill our rivers, and a second chance for repurposed materials.

Fall 2025 Marigold Monarch Mural!
I was given the amazing opportunity to combine my two favorite things, art and horticulture to create this almost quarter acre ephemeral mural! The mural took around 6 months to plan, 3 months to prep the site, 2 days to plant, 14k plants, 25 staff members, 31 volunteers, one sponsorship, and hours and hours of work. ♥️ taken in San Antonio, Texas by @laynilangham

6 months going strong! This living wall which hold Hunt Slonem’s Glow Boxes was inspired by his brush strokes allowing the movement to extend past the painting. Using bullet proof tropicals like JC Compacta Dracaenas and Jester’s Crown Ferns these walls have maintained their design for months! by @laynilangham
