🙏Maarten my guy🙏RIP

Many who know me know I’m not a person who share his feelings with others. But 2020 just been an emotional rollercoaster. I receive Friday night a phone call saying my dear friend have pass away.
So 2020 you did it, you finally broke me.

All I been thinking about was last year when I went to visit him during his minor in Frankfurt. Dude was so lively and busy with personal development. I was so pride of him. We had a conversation about goals in life.
He was so excited to tell me his. Me being me ask him all the critical questions and he being himself answers it all without any doubt.
I told him; I guess I will see you at the top, my gonna take a bit longer because I have something I need to take care of first.
He smile at me saying; Even thought you said that in a joke-ish way, you are dead serious.
I told him; Of course, look we are right now in one of the financial centre of the world. I just have this feeling we can achieve anything. So no worries with a smile.

When he came back home something change and he lost that liveliness. We talk a lot about it and he accompanied me with several charity project. During this time I thought he was back to his old self.

I’m just so sorry my friend. I couldn’t be there for you.

You know me, I always keep my word. So no worries, I still have something to take care of but we will see each other at the top.
